Last week, the Sunshine State saw IMG Academy beat top-5 Cocoa and Lakeland win over Lake Mary in a pair of Florida top-10 games.

Week four of Florida high school football features three ranked matchups, including a Miami crosstown showdown between Northwestern and Norland.

Below are the Florida high school football games of the week.

Top high school football games in Florida

#16 Northwestern at #10 NorlandFriday, Sept. 13
Northwestern is 2-1 on the season after a 42-7 win over Miami Carol City, and the Bulls are ready for another test this week. Northwestern already took No. 2 Venice to the edge two weeks ago in a 48-42 overtime loss. Now, the Bulls will travel to play No. 10 Norland in another huge showdown. The Vikings are 2-0 after a 36-10 win over Miami Carol City and look to get back to the state title game this year. Northwestern features several Power 4 recruits, including elite juniors Calvin Russell and J’Vari Flowers. The On3 Massey Ratings project Norland to win 30-27.

#11 American Heritage at #20 NaplesFriday, Sept. 13
American Heritage’s lone regular season loss last year came to Chaminade-Madonna. Unfortunately for the Patriots, the result repeated itself last weekend with a close 48-45 loss. The Pats are led by Junior Texas quarterback commit Dia Bell and four-star running back Byron Louis. Also part of the 2026 class is top-100 wide receiver Brandon Bennett and Miami WR commit Malachi Toney. Naples went on the road and smacked Immokalee 47-0. American Heritage won this game last season, and the On3 Massey Ratings project the same this year with a 38-20 Patriots win.

#15 Mandarin at #24 BradfordFriday, Sept. 13
Mandarin improved to 3-0 last week with a 41-0 shutout win over Sandalwood. The Mustangs are headlined by a host of Power 4 commits, including Texas five-star wide receiver pledge Jaime Ffrench, Miami safety commit Hylton Stubbs, Florida State quarterback commit Tramell Jones and Michigan defensive back commit Brody Jennings. Bradford moved into the Florida top 25 this week after a 28-7 win over South Sumter to improve to 3-0 in 2024. The Tornadoes are looking to get back to the state championship game this year after losing to Cocoa in the 2S title last season. The On3 Massey Ratings project a 30-14 Mandarin win.

#2 Venice at #42 Port CharlotteFriday, Sept. 13
Venice remained perfect in 2024 with a 71-56 shootout victory over previously ranked Bishop Verot over the weekend. Four-star wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr. had 12 touches for 74 yards and a touchdown. Port Charlotte is still undefeated this season with wins over Island Coast, North Fort Myers and Lehigh. The On3 Massey Ratings project a dominating 48-28 Venice victory.

Manatee at #8 F. W. BuchholzFriday, Sept. 13
Buchholz is still perfect on the season after a 35-7 win against Eastside last week. Its Florida top-10 defense is led by Wisconsin EDGE commit Nicolas Clayton. The Bobcats will play their first home game of 2024 this Friday against Manatee. The Hurricanes are 2-1 on the year after falling 30-15 to Lowndes (Ga.) last week. The On3 Massey Ratings project Buchholz to win 35-14.
