Florida high school football: Raines Vikings unveil 2025 game schedule

For the 2025 Florida high school football season, the Raines Vikings are seeking for their fourth state championship. They haven’t won since 2018, the second of back-to-back state crowns. The Jacksonville-based team had the opportunity to add to their collection when they faced Northwestern in the Class 3A state final.
However, in addition to a shutout loss (41-0), Raines let the opportunity of finishing with an undefeated season slip away. Despite that defeat, the Vikings were among Florida’s top 25 teams last year. With another season looming, the Vikings hope to bounce back from that defeat and lift the state trophy once again.
The journey won’t be easy for coach Donovan Masline’s crew, though, after revealing their schedule for 2025. Raines’ 2025 Florida high school football season starts with a home game against Miami Central. The Rockets are nine-time state champions, with their last title clinched three years ago.
Last season, Central had an 8-1 record heading into the Class 3A state tournament. However, using an ineligible player, a violation they self-reported, forced them to forfeit nine games. Hence, they finished their campaign with a 0-9 record, eliminating them from the playoffs.

Facing Central would be Raines’ second game of the 2025 Florida high school football season. Instead, their real season opener will be a road game against Kipp on August 15. After the Central game comes the Vikings’ faceoff with Sandalwood on the Military Night on August 29.
Raines will also face Madison (Oct. 10), Creekside (Oct. 17), and Yulee (Oct. 24) at home. These three consecutive Fridays will be for Homecoming, Breast Cancer Night, and Senior Night, in that order.
Meanwhile, after their road game against Kipp, the Vikings will visit Trinity, Lake Mary, Riverside, and Ribault. Then, they will close the 2025 Florida high school football regular season with a road game versus Atlantic Coast.
