Wideout Tatum Bell Jr. will play for another Texas high school football team after his father decided to transfer him. Tatum Bell Sr., a former NFL running back who played for five seasons, announced his decision on his X/Twitter account. The older Bell posted:

“We made the decision to transfer my son, Tatum Jr., from Frisco ISD to Lewisville ISD because Frisco ISD failed to handle his situation fairly. The false accusations against him and the lack of proper communication created an environment that was neither supportive nor just.”

“To ensure Tatum Jr.’s well-being, we have enrolled him in Lewisville ISD, where he now resides with Me!! This decision was made to provide him with the fair treatment and respect he deserves!”

Therefore, Bell Jr. will move from Frisco Heritage High School to Lewisville, where his father lives. The younger Bell had a successful 2024 Texas high school football season, tallying 1,167 total yards and 11 touchdowns. He has 1,700 yards and 20 touchdowns in 29 games for the Coyotes. These numbers helped him become a two-time All-District performer.

Bell Jr. will transfer from a team that finished at 5-5 last season to a squad that went 7-4. The Fighting Farmers ended their season with a loss to Allen in the UIL Conference 6A Division 1 Bi-District Round. Allen is the ninth-best team in the On3 Texas Composite Team Rankings.

Bell Jr. could instantly become one of Lewisville’s leaders after Michael Fasusi (Oklahoma) and Zephen Walker (Oregon State) started their college football journey. Meanwhile, the younger Bell will line up with Deontae Weathers and Tenel Hill on offense.

On the other hand, the Denver Broncos selected Tatum Bell Sr. in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft. The former Oklahoma State standout played for the Broncos and the Detroit Lions. Bell Sr., who played Texas high school football for DeSoto, finished his NFL career with 2,773 rushing yards, 419 receiving yards, and 20 touchdowns.
