A few of this week’s contests are being made up because of earlier postponements, making this one of the state’s most loaded slates.

Below are the top games to keep an eye on in the Peach State this week and predictions for each from the On3 Massey Ratings:

The On3 Massey Ratings — which were officially used during the BCS era and have generated college high school sports team rankings since 1995 — rank sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule and margin of victory.

#11 Mill Creek vs. #14 Collins Hill — Thursday, Oct. 10
The Mill Creek offense has now scored 50-plus points in two consecutive games and is now averaging over 44 points per game. The 6-1 Hawks are riding a four-game winning streak and are looking for just their second ranked win of he season. Collins Hill, also 6-1, is looking to bounce back from its first loss of the season — a 34-7 defeat to No. 4 Buford. The Eagles’ defense still ranks No. 6 in the state, per the Massey Ratings. Mill Creek’s No. 3 offense will look to overpower and is projected to win 37-20.

#10 Coffee vs. #2 Lee County — Friday, Oct. 11
Coffee is 6-0 and has passed every test up to this point, but it has zero ranked wins on its résumé. It has an opportunity to change that in a big way, though taking down No. 2 Lee County will be a tall task. The No. 2 Trojans have been a big surprise in the Peach State, led by new Georgia running back commit Ousmane Kromah. Also 6-0, Kromah and Co. have wins over No. 15 Colquitt County and No. 8 Thomas County Central. Coffee’s defense ranks No. 4 in the state, though Lee County’s offense is No. 1, per the Massey Ratings.

#3 Milton vs. #18 Gainesville — Friday, Oct. 11
Milton has its sights set on an undefeated regular season, but this week’s trip to Gainesville is one of the toughest tests it’ll have faced all year. After skating by the likes of Buford and American Heritage (Fla.) to open the season, the Eagles have pummeled opposing defenses, outscoring their last three opponents 140-14. Gainesville enters at 6-1, with its lone loss coming at the hands of top-ranked Carrollton. The Red Elephants have scored 40-plus points five times this season and will look to collect its biggest win of the campaign on Friday.

#15 Colquitt County vs. #12 Valdosta — Friday, Oct. 11
Colquitt’s tough schedule continues on Friday, as it will finally take on Valdosta in another top-25 battle. The No. 15 Packers picked up a 38-35 win over No. 23 Lowndes last week and are now 4-2 on the season. Valdosta remains undefeated at 6-0 and is fresh off a 56-37 win over No. 24 Camden County. The Wildcats are now averaging over 46 points per game and are set for another shootout this Friday.
