1. Mater Dei (Calif.)
Previous Rank: No. 1
The Monarchs remain atop the national rankings after convincing wins over California top-10 foes Santa Margarita Catholic and Servite in back-to-back weeks. It won’t get any easier though, as three more ranked matchups await over the next few weeks, including a huge battle with No. 3 St. John Bosco on November 25.
2. Duncanville (Texas)
Previous Rank: No. 2
Duncanville passed its biggest test of the year with flying colors, rolling past then-No. 8 DeSoto 42-20 on Friday to get revenge for last year’s loss. The Panthers’ offense is rolling behind five-stars Keelon Russell and Dakorien Moore, and it’s unlikely they’ll be tested again until the playoffs.
3. St. John Bosco (Calif.)
Previous Rank: No. 4 (+1)
Bosco moves up one spot in this week’s rankings after a 13-0 slugfest win at home against Santa Margarita Catholic. The Braves’ offense has been held in check the past two weeks, but they’ve only allowed a total of 10 points in their past two games.
4. Atascocita (Texas)
Previous Rank: No. 3 (-1)
The Eagles cruised to a dominant 53-3 win over Humble on Friday night to move to 6-0 and continue their early season roll. After a matchup with Kingwood this week, a huge showdown awaits with No. 3 North Shore on November 25.
5. North Shore (Texas)
Previous Rank: No. 5
North Shore hung 70 points on winless Goose Creek Memorial on Thursday, their first of two straight games against teams who have yet to win this season. After facing 0-6 Channelview next week, the Atascocita game looms large.
6. Southlake Carroll (Texas)
Previous Rank: No. 6
The Dragons’ offense continues to shred defenses, with Carroll now scoring at least 44 points in six of its seven wins this season. Much like Duncanville, they aren’t expected to be tested again in the regular season.
7. North Crowley (Texas)
Previous Rank: No. 7
North Crowley’s offense has been equally as impressive this fall, with the latest example a 66-7 win over Lake Ridge on Friday night. They are heavily favored in each of their final four games, per the On3 Massey Ratings, and should go into the playoffs 10-0.

8. Bishop Gorman (Nev.)
Previous Rank: No. 9 (+1)
The Gaels continue to run roughshod over their West Coast opponents. Nevada’s No. 2 team, Arbor View, was the latest victim on Thursday in a 49-14 blowout. They will face three more state-ranked teams this year but are heavily favored in each matchup.
9. IMG Academy (Fla.)
Previous Rank: No. 10 (+1)
The Ascenders are in the second of two straight bye weeks after beating No. 2 Venice on October 4. Next up they’ll face Illinois’ No. 1 team, East St. Louis, on October 25.
10. DeSoto (Texas)
Previous Rank: No. 8 (-2)
DeSoto suffered its second loss of the season against a loaded Duncanville team, but the Eagles still remain one of the nation’s best teams. They are heavily favored in each of their last four games before the playoffs begin next month.
