The Illinois high school basketball playoffs are reaching their crescendo, as the brackets that started with dozens of teams in them have now been whittled down to just four.

Programs at 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A levels will descend upon the State Farm Center in Champaign this week to play the final rounds of the state tournament. Across the eight semifinal games, No. 1 seeds in 10 different regions have made their way to the precipice of taking home the hardware.

But there have also been a few surprises, particularly at the 4A level. Benet Academy and Richton Park both took down top seeds in the Super-Sectionals and will be looking to continue their run to a state title as well.

Below are all eight matchups, which tip off Thursday night at the home of the University of Illinois.

Class 1A

No. 1 Effingham St. Anthony vs. No. 1 Chicago Hope Academy

No. 1 Peoria Christian vs. No. 1 Lanark Eastland

Class 2A

No. 1 Dyett vs. No. 1 Peoria Manual
