The On3 Composite Rankings have updated as the second half of January commences.

In Illinois, many of the state’s top teams held their ground. Mount Carmel is the lone new addition to the top 10, as the Caravan made a five-spot jump from last week’s ranking.

Below are the top 25 high school basketball teams in Illinois, as of Jan. 15.

The On3 Composite Rankings is a proprietary algorithm that compiles rankings listed in the public domain by respected High School media and data companies. It includes Massey, Max Preps, HSRatings (formerly Cal Preps), ESPN and SI, creating the industry’s most comprehensive and geographically balanced High School Team Ranking.
