Only eight teams remain in the 2024-25 Indiana high school basketball Class 4A state tournament. These squads, including some that are among the top teams in the Indiana On3 Composite Rankings, are only two wins away from the coveted state championship.

Leading the pack is top-ranked Fishers which entered the semi-state semifinal round after dominating the Harrison Raiders 89-39. This victory kept the Tigers’ unblemished record, which improved to 28-0.

Conversely, defeating the best Indiana high school basketball team will be a tall order for South Bend Riley. The Wildcats earned the draw after a 77-71 double overtime victory against 25th-ranked Warsaw Community. Riley has a 23-4 record coming into their clash with Fishers and they are enjoying a six-game winning streak.

In the other semi-state semifinal, tenth-ranked Crown Point will face the Homestead Spartans. The Bulldogs reached this stage after a six-point victory against the Portage Indians 68-62. Meanwhile, the Spartans remain in contention after a three-point victory over Fort Wayne Carroll.

Meanwhile, the other Indiana high school basketball semi-state semifinal showdown will be against Terre Haute North Vigo and Lawrence North. The Patriots entered the Class 4A quarterfinals after edging the Whiteland Warriors 72-69.

Their opponents are Indiana’s second-best team that has double-digit margins in all but three of their victories. Their latest victory against Mooresville improved the Wildcats’ record to 23-4 and they are on an eight-game winning streak.

Finally, the winner of the JeffersonvilleMt. Vernon dialogue will advance to the state semifinals. The Red Devils are Indiana’s eighth-best team, and they improved to 21-5 after a win over Evansville Harrison. On the flipside, the Marauders, Indiana’s seventh-best team, dominated Brownsburg 74-40.

The competition intensifies as the Indiana high school basketball Class 4A state tournament is nearing its conclusion.
