Jackson Cantwell names college football program with best offensive line coaching duo

Five-star prospect Jackson Cantwell delayed his commitment announcement to May 13 after announcing his unofficial visit to Georgia. In addition to the Bulldogs, he’s also considering the Miami Hurricanes, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Oregon Ducks for college football.
This decision by the top-ranked prospect from the Class of 2026 could have major implications. Hence, the fanbases of those teams hope Cantwell will wear their team’s hat to confirm his choice. Each program has enticing attributes for the senior from Nixa High School.
The Buckeyes are the defending national champions, while Georgia has been a constant College Football Playoff participant since Kirby Smart took over in 2016. Meanwhile, the Ducks have double-digit victories in all three seasons under Dan Lanning.
As for Miami, Jackson Cantwell revealed what might sway him to select the Hurricanes. In an article by Springfield News-Leader’s Wyatt D. Wheeler, the 6-foot-7 offensive lineman believes Miami has the best coaching duo for his playing position.
“They are prioritizing offensive linemen, and they have no shame in admitting it. They’re putting a lot of time into the development of it, and that’s something that stands out a lot to me. I like schools that prioritize offensive line,” Cantwell shared with Wheeler.

Cantwell had first-hand experience with the importance that Hurricanes coaches Mario Cristobal and Alex Mirabel put on developing the offensive line. Cristobal served as an O-line coach for Nick Saban with the Alabama Crimson Tide before becoming Oregon’s head coach.
Likewise, Jackson Cantwell believes that Mirabel is one of the best offensive line developers in college football. In addition to their coaching nucleus, Miami is also one of the first teams to offer Cantwell a scholarship. To show their seriousness, Cristobal, Mirabal, and defensive ends coach Jason Taylor visited Cantwell in Missouri.
If Cantwell chooses the Hurricanes, he will join a recruitment class featuring offensive linemen Seauseu Alofaituli, Max Buchanan, Jaden Wilkerson, Demetrius Campbell, and James Brockermeyer.
