Auburn DL signee Jourdin Crawford collects plethora of awards to close high school career
Birmingham (Ala.) Parker four-star defensive lineman and Auburn signee Jourdin Crawford is heading to The Plains as a decorated high school prospect.
One of three blue-chip defensive linemen to sign with the in-state Tigers earlier this month, Crawford looks SEC-ready on the interior and is primed to make an impact for Hugh Freeze and Co. at the next level.
On Wednesday, the 6-foot-1, 330-pounder took to social media to flex his final list of awards that he and Parker High have picked up to round out an impressive season on the gridiron:
Parker defeated Saraland earlier this month to take home the Alabama 6A state title. Crawford was named the MVP for the Thundering Herd in the 28-17 victory, collecting seven tackles, 4.5 for loss and three sacks. He was also tabbed for the All-Region 5 First Team and competed in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game last week.
Crawford was committed to Auburn for over a year before inking with the in-state program on Dec. 4. Only Opelika (Ala.) four-star DL Malik Autry and Highland Home (Ala.) four-star linebacker Jakaleb Faulk were in the Tigers’ class longer.
“I mean, it feels like home. Nothing has changed. I come every weekend, every home game. I’m just making myself at home. The relationship I have with the coaches, it’s more than just football. It kind of makes you feel like a family. You really don’t get that at too many other places,” Crawford told Auburn Live.
