1. Boyle County
The Rebels are 8-0 after another dominant victory, routing Lincoln County 41-0 on Friday night. They’ll travel to 7-2 Wayne County this week before closing the regular season at home against No. 9 Fredrick Douglass.
2. Trinity
Following its 16-10 loss to St. Xavier on September 28, Trinity has reeled off three wins in a row with the latest a 49-0 shutout of Eastern on Friday night. The Shamrocks will face Oldham County this week in their last game of the year before the playoffs.
3. Louisville Male
The Bulldogs got all they could handle from Fern Creek over the weekend before winning a 17-0 shutout. They will be back in action against Bullitt East this Friday before a top-5 tilt to close the season against Dupont Manual.
4. Dupont Manual
Manual is 7-1 heading into the final two weeks of the season, with a game at 6-3 Meade County this week before the aforementioned showdown against Louisville Male on November 1.
5. St. Xavier
The Tigers recovered from a tough upset loss to Dupont Manual by beating Meade County 45-21 on Friday night. They’ll host 1-7 Pleasure Ridge Park this week before No. 14 Bowling Green comes to Louisville to end the regular season.
6. Paducah Tilghman
Tilghman’s undefeated run continued with a 56-6 domination of Warren East over the weekend. Barring a surprise upset in the next two weeks, the Blue Tornado will enter the state playoffs 10-0.
7. Cooper
The Jaguars completely overwhelmed Boone County on Friday in a 48-14 demolition of the home squad. A game this week against Dixie Heights is the only thing between them an unblemished season.
