1. Boyle County (6-0)
The Rebels are undefeated coming off a bye week after dominating Lexington Catholic 51-7 two weeks ago and Taylor County 48-0 the week prior. Boyle County faced three ranked teams to open the season, but will now only face one the rest of the way: No. 8 Douglass in the season finale on November 1.
2. Trinity (5-2)
Trinity has relied on its defense thus far, holding every one of its opponents under 24 points as they got out to a 5-2 start. That includes keeping Cincinnati powerhouse St. Xavier to just a field goal in their 7-3 win last weekend. A battle-tested Ballard squad is next up on Friday before consecutive games to end the season that they will be heavily favored in.
3. Louisville Male (5-1)
The Bulldogs are coming off a big upset win over Fredrick Douglass over the weekend, pulling out a 31-28 victory over their city rivals. Now sitting at 5-1, they’re also projected as heavy favorite in their next three before ending the season hosting No. 7 Dupont Manual.
4. St. Xavier (4-2)
After dropping back-to-back gut-wrenching games against Louisville Male (35-34) and Elder (17-15), St. Xavier has reeled off consecutive top-10 wins over Trinity and Ryle in the past two weeks. Their brutal schedule continues this week with another big crosstown showdown against Manual.
5. Cooper (7-0)
The Jaguars’ offense has been stellar thus far, racking up 39 points per game en route to an undefeated record through seven weeks. They’re fresh off a 42-17 shellacking of Conner and are currently predicted to finish the regular season unblemished before heading into the playoffs.
6. Paducah Tilghman (7-0)
No program has been more dominant this season than Tilghman, which has scored more than 40 in every single game while giving up just 10.4 points per contest. The Blue Tornado are also heavily favored to run the table.
7. Dupont Manual (5-1)
Following a 5-0 start, Manual dropped its first game of the year two weeks ago in a surprising 35-10 loss to Christian Academy. After regrouping during the bye week, they’ll get a shot to get back on track Friday night against St. Xavier.

8. Frederick Douglass (3-3)
Douglass has faced a whale of a schedule through six weeks, opening with No. 11 Bowling Green before games against Trinity, Manual, No. 12 Corbin and Louisville Male. Out of it, they sit 3-3 with three more top-25 matchups to close the season. By the time the playoffs roll around, no team will be more tested than the Broncos.
9. Ryle (4-2)
Of the Raiders’ two losses, both have come at the hands of top-10 teams — Cooper in early September and St. Xavier last weekend. Sitting at 4-2, they don’t project to face any more state-ranked teams before the playoffs.
10. Franklin County (6-0)
Franklin County won ranked matchups to open the season over Scott County and Lexington Christian, and has since rolled to four more wins. That includes a 45-14 bludgeoning of North Oldham last weekend. With four games left before playoff time, they are projected to be undefeated at the end of November.
