West Boca Raton High won the Florida 6A state championship this season, finishing with a 15-0 record. Under center for the Bulls was 2026 three-star quarterback Mason Mallory.

The Sunshine State signal-caller announced on Tuesday that he will not be returning for his senior season. Instead, he’s heading to St. Thomas Aquinas, a national power in Fort Lauderdale.

“I want to start off by thanking God for giving me the opportunity to play the game I love at such a high level. I also want to thank principal Capitano and the entire West Boca administrative staff for their love and support over these last three years. I want to send a special thank you to the Bulls fan base for their support and amazing energy they brought out to every game,” Mallory wrote announcing his decision.

“Last but not least, I want to thank the West Boca coaching staff for providing me with an opportunity to learn and grow as a player. Special thanks to Mr. Jerry Williamson and Rise Academy staff for their support they have provided me as a student athlete. With that being said, I am excited to announce that I will be transferring to St. Thomas Aquinas High School for my senior year.”

Mallory’s junior season witnessed 20 total touchdowns — 18 through the air and two on the ground. The left-hander threw for 1,707 yards, completing 126 passes. Across three seasons Mallory has thrown for 63 touchdowns and over 4,900 yards to just 14 interceptions.

Standing at 5-foot-11.5 and 190 pounds, Mallory is the No. 69 QB and No. 118 player in Florida, per the 2026 On300.

St. Thomas Aquinas also won a state title this season, reigning atop Class 5A in Florida. The Raiders went 12-3, playing a staunch in-state schedule. They finished as the No. 32 team in the nation and No. 5 team in the state, according to the On3 Composite Rankings. West Boca Raton finished as the No. 16 team in Florida.
