The final weekend of September is delivering another big slate of national high school football games.

Of the updated top 25 teams in the On3 Massey Ratings, 17 are taking the field this week, with games now ranging from Thursday through Monday due to the incoming Hurricane Helene that has impacted schedules around the Southeast.

Below is how the On3 Massey Ratings predict each of the top games in the nation will unfold this weekend:

The On3 Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory. According to the model, all 25 of the top 25 teams in Texas rank inside the top 100 nationwide.

Top National High School Football Games – Sept. 26

C.E. King (Texas) vs. #4 Atascocita (Texas)
C.E. King checks in as the No. 23 team in the state of Texas this week and will look for what would be perhaps the biggest upset of the season on Thursday night when they head to Humble to take on Atascocita. The Panthers are 2-1 after kicking off a three-game road trip with a 42-0 win over Dekaney two weeks ago. The now-No. 4 Eagles have looked dominant in its first three games and are also coming off a bye week. Their latest outing was perhaps their best — a 39-21 win on the road over Austin Westlake, the No. 12 team in the nation.
Massey Ratings Prediction: Atascocita 40, King 14

Humble (Texas) vs. #5 North Shore (Texas)
North Shore dominated South Oak Cliff 38-0 to open the season and then handled Crowley 28-13 in Week 2. The Mustangs smothering defense overwhelmed Westfield 47-3 on Friday night as they stayed undefeated. Following a bye, they’ll host a 3-0 Humble squad looking to pull off a major upset. The Wildcats will have their hands full though.
Massey Ratings Prediction: North Shore 48, Humble 7
