National On3 High School Boys Basketball Composite Rankings Top 25 - Feb. 20

Playoff time is here for the high school basketball season and the On3 Composite Rankings have once again updated.

The new national top 25 still features teams from 14 states and Washington D.C. As has been the case for a majority of the season,  Columbus (Fla.) remains the top-ranked program in the country with March approaching.

Below is a look at the updated national high school boys basketball top 25, as of Feb. 20:

It includes Massey, Max Preps, ESPN, and SI, creating the industry’s most comprehensive and geographically balanced High School Team Ranking.

1. Columbus (Fla.)

Previous Ranking: No. 1
It’s been more of the same for Columbus, as it leans on one of the most talented rosters in the nation. Twin Duke signees Cameron and Cayden Boozer remain dominant, and the same can be said for junior forwards Caleb Gaskins and Jaxon Richardson. Now 23-3 on the year, the Explorers have won 11 games in a row and will be a favorite to win Nationals.

2. Harvard-Westlake (Calif.)

Previous Ranking: No. 2
Now 28-1, Harvard-Westlake continues to thrash its competition in the Golden State. Duke small forward signee Nikolas Khamenia heads what’s been one of the top programs in the nation all season long. The Wolverines’ winning streak is nearing 20 games following a 33-point win over J Serra Catholic earlier this week. They’ll be a tough, tough out in the postseason.

3. Roosevelt (Calif.)

Previous Ranking: No. 4 (+1)
Top uncommitted combo guard Brayden Burries is a scoring machine and has powered Roosevelt to a 28-2 record to this point. The Mustangs defeated Redondo Union 89-67 last time out and have now won six in a row following a tight loss to top-10 Gonzaga (D.C.) last month. Roosevelt will be tested to close the season but have the potential to finish atop the Golden State standings.

4. William J. Brennan (Texas)

Previous Ranking: No. 3 (-1)
Behind Houston point guard signee Kingston Flemings, William J. Brennan continues to look like one of the top offenses in the nation. The Bears’ last six games have seen them tally 123, 109, 89, 94, 90 and 92 points. They now sit at 30-2 overall and are favorites to hang a banner.

5. Allen (Texas)

Previous Ranking: No. 6 (+1)
Allen is now 31-1 on the season and continues to lurk right behind William J. Brennan for the top spot in the Texas rankings. The Bears are still the lone team to defeat the Eagles so far this season. Allen has eclipsed 80 points in each of its last eight games.

6. Hoover (Ala.)

Previous Ranking: No. 5 (-1)
The Sweet 16 began this week in Alabama and Hoover looks like the clear favorite, still undefeated at 34-0, now advanced into the Final Four after beating Huntsville 63-60 on Thursday. The Buccaneers continue to wallop their opponents on both sides of the ball, while their defense has been one of the best in the nation all season long.

7. Paul VI Catholic (Va.)

Previous Ranking: No. 8 (+1)
Paul VI Catholic has maneuvered well through a rigid schedule, taking on many of the other top programs in and around the DMV. Now 23-4 on the season, the Panthers continue to own a top-10 national ranking thanks to the likes of Junior five-star shooting guard Jordan Smith Jr. and senior power forward Jaquan Womack. The playoffs are on deck in the WCAC.

8. Perry (Ariz.)

Previous Ranking: No. 7 (-1)
Still the lone team in Arizona ranked in the national top 25, Perry continues to roll behind elite uncommitted Five-Star Plus+ power forward Koa Peat, one of the top prospects in the nation. Since losing to top-ranked Columbus, the Pumas have won seven in a row and are now 23-2 overall.

9. Gonzaga (D.C.)

Previous Ranking: No. 9
Gonzaga is now 24-4 on the season following a tough loss to nationally-ranked DeMatha Catholic (Md.) on Monday. The Eagles, led by North Carolina combo guard signee Derek Dixon, now gear up for the WCAC playoffs, where they’ll be a favorite alongside Paul VI Catholic.

10. Montverde Academy (Fla.)

Previous Ranking: No. 10
Montverde Academy rounds out the top 10 once again, now 18-5 this season. The Eagles are loaded with top talent and will continue to challenge Columbus for the top spot in Florida, behind the likes of Florida four-star SG commit CJ Ingram, Creighton four-star SG signee Hudson Greer and elite junior four-star SG Kayden Allen.
