National On3 High School Boys Basketball Composite Rankings Top 25 - March 25

State tournaments have finished around parts of the nation as others continue to push toward high school basketball championship games. The On3 Composite Rankings have once again updated as teams near the conclusion of their 2024-25 season.

Fishers (Ind.) remains undefeated at 30-0 and is pushing for another Indiana state title. The Tigers rose from No. 12 to No. 6. and headline the limited changes in the top 25.

Below is the updated top 25 high school basketball programs in the nation, as of March 25, according to the On3 Composite Rankings.

1. Columbus (Fla.)

Previous Ranking: No. 1
It’s been more of the same for Columbus, as it leans on one of the most talented rosters in the nation. Led by twin Duke signees Cameron and Cayden Boozer, as well as junior forwards Caleb Gaskins and Jaxon Richardson, The 27-3 Explorers have won their fourth consecutive state title and will be favorites to win nationals.

2. Roosevelt (Calif.)

Previous Ranking: No. 2
Roosevelt has leapfrogged Harvard-Westlake for the No. 2 spot nationally and took home a state title with a 20-point win over Archbishop Riordan. The Mustangs beat Westlake in the regional semifinals and then took down ranked Notre Dame in the regional finals prior to the win over Riordan. Elite combo guard Brayden Burries remains one of the top uncommitted prospects in the nation and helped carry the Mustangs to the top.

3. Harvard-Westlake (Calif.)

Previous Ranking: No. 3
Harvard-Westlake fell to Roosevelt in the CIF State regional semifinals 71-59, bringing its record to 30-3. It was a terrific season for Duke small forward signee Nikolas Khamenia and Co., though the Wolverines weren’t able to conquer the postseason this time around.

4. Hoover (Ala.)

Previous Ranking: No. 4
Hoover completed its perfect 35-0 season with a win over Florence in the Alabama 7A state finals. The Buccaneers have now won three state titles in a row. There were hardly any scores for Hoover this season as it overwhelmed opponents on both sides of the ball all year long.

5. Paul VI Catholic (Va.)

Previous Ranking: No. 5
After defeating No. 9 Gonzaga to win the WCAC championship, Paul VI Catholic couldn’t win two titles in a row as it fell to Bishop O’Connell in the VISAA state tournament semifinals at the end of February. At 29-6, the Panthers put together an incredible season, led by junior five-star shooting guard Jordan Smith Jr. and senior power forward Jaquan Womack.

6. Fishers (Ind.)

Previous Ranking: No. 12 (+6)
Fishers bullied its way to a 73-48 victory over Crown Point over the weekend to claim its second straight 4A Northern Semistate championship. The Tigers have now won 43 games in a row, dating back to last season. Star sophomore point guard Jason Gardner Jr. will be one of the top prospects in the nation soon enough.

7. William J. Brennan (Texas)

Previous Ranking: No. 6 (-1)
Brennan’s quest for a state title was foiled in the 6A Division-I semifinals, falling 65-57 to Bellaire, which went on to lose to Duncanville in the championship game. The Bears finished with a 33-3 record and dominated for a majority of the season behind Houston point guard signee Kingston Flemings.

8. Allen (Texas)

Previous Ranking: No. 7 (-1)
Allen’s season came to an end in the Fort Worth ISD regional quarterfinals against Plano East. The Eagles went 32-6, hovered in and around the top 10 nationally for much of the season and also picked up a big win over William J. Brennan, one of the best regular-season victories for any team in the country all year.

9. Sierra Canyon (Calif.)

Previous Ranking: No. 23 (+14)
Sierra Canyon continued its tremendous legacy in the high school basketball ranks, claiming another CIF Division I state title, winning 58-53 over Stockton Lincoln .Junior small forward Maximo Adams led the way for a roster that also includes forward Bryce James, an Arizona commit and son of LeBron James. Adams finished with 14 points and eight rebounds and was crucial for the Trailblazers late. Sierra Canyon is 27-7.

10. Gonzaga (D.C.)

Previous Ranking: No. 8 (-2)
Gonzaga cruised to a DCSAA state tournament championship, capped off by a 16-point win over Sidwell in the title game. The Eagles were powered by North Carolina combo guard signee Derek Dixon this season and finished the year with a 29-5 record.
