National top-10 Roosevelt (Calif.) beats Sandra Day O'Connor (Ariz.) at Hoophall West

Eastvale (Calif.) Roosevelt played in the Hoophall West Classic in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday and came away with a 77-51 win over Glendale (Ariz.) Sandra Day O’Connor.

Five-star senior combo guard Brayden Burries recorded a double-double with 24 points, 10 rebounds. Burries was 7-of-16 from the field, making two three-point attempts. He was also 8-of-8 from the free-throw line.

New Mexico CG signee Issac Williamson also crested the 20-point threshold with 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting. Williamson was also 4-of-8 from three-point range. Myles Walker also finished in the double digits with 14 points.

Roosevelt is now 17-1 on the season with notable wins against Phoenix Sunnyslope, Miami Riviera Prep, Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame and Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco. Its only loss came by three points to San Antonio William J. Brennan, the No. 5 team in America.

The Mustangs have one game left on the schedule at Hoophall West. They are set to play Layton Christian Academy (Utah) on Saturday. The two squads already met once this season — an 86-65 win for Roosevelt on Dec. 28.

Roosevelt is the No. 7 team in the country and the No. 3 program in California according to the On3 Composite High School Top 25 rankings.
