After five weeks of high school football in New Jersey, the state rankings look quite a bit different than they did over a month ago when the season started.

Bergen Catholic still sits in the No. 1 spot, but there has been plenty of movement below them. And that includes just the last week, with a handful of big wins and upset losses shaking things up.

Ahead of Week 6, here’s a look at the updated top 25 teams in New Jersey:

The On3 Massey Ratings — which were officially used during the BCS era and have generated college high school sports team rankings since 1995 — rank sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule and margin of victory.

1. Bergen Catholic

Previous Rank: 1
The Crusaders had a battle on their hands Saturday afternoon with No. 5 Don Bosco Prep, but escaped win a 24-20 win to stay in the No. 1 spot and keep an unblemished record against Garden State teams this season. Top-25 showdowns against Paramus Catholic and at Delbarton School await after a bye this coming weekend.

2. Hun School

Previous Rank: 2
One of only four undefeated teams in the top 10, Hun School stayed that way with a 51-6 demolition of winless Mt. Zion Prep on Saturday. They’ll head on the road to face Blair Academy this weekend before a showdown with Maryland’s No. 1 team, St. Frances Academy, on October 11.

3. St. Joseph Regional

Previous Rank: 3
The Green Knights have been dominant in back-to-back top-25 matchups against Paramus Catholic and St. Peters Prep, outscoring the two teams 82-33. After a bye this weekend, they’ll face No. 5 Don Bosco Prep in a huge road tilt.

4. DePaul Catholic

Previous Rank: 4
Led by Ohio State wide receiver commit De’Zie Jones, who has already totaled more than 400 receiving yards and six touchdowns, DePaul sits at 5-0. The Spartans routed Paramus Catholic over the weekend 55-28 and have now beaten top-10 teams from New Jersey, New York, Maryland and Pennsylvania to start the season.

5. Don Bosco Prep

Previous Rank: 5
The Ironmen have faced an early-season gauntlet with games against Ohio No. 1 Archbishop Hoban, top-25 Red Bank Catholic, New York top-10 St. Anthony’s and No. 1 Bergen Catholic. After all of that, they sit at 2-2 after nearly pulling off a major upset against the Crusaders. It’s back to the meat grinder again this week, with No. 4 DePaul Catholic coming to town before closing out the season with four more ranked matchups.

6. Delbarton School

Previous Rank: 7 (+1)
A preseason top-5 team, Delbarton is inching back up toward that ranking after beating St. Peters Prep and Seton Hall Prep by a combined score of 84-21. Pope John XXIII will be in town on Saturday for another showdown before the Green Wave head to a bye week.

7. Winslow Township

Previous Rank: 9 (+2)
The Eagles’ defense has been dominant in consecutive top-10 wins over St. Augustine Prep and Millville. Winslow held the high-flying Millville offense to just 7 points in one of the most surprising results of the weekend.
