Notre Dame (Calif.), St. John Bosco (Calif.) pick up Friday blowout wins at Hoophall West

Several high school basketball teams are in action at the second day of the Hoophall West Classic in Phoenix, Arizona — and two of the nation’s best programs won in blowout fashion on Friday.
Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame defeated Henderson (Nev.) Coronado 84-40 in a mind-boggling 44-point victory.
Five-Star Plus+ junior small forward Tyran Stokes accounted for a double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. Stokes was 5-of-8 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line.
Others in double digits for the Knights included Zach White (22 points), Josiah Nance (15 points) and Micah Tannenbaum (10 points). Nance was a perfect 2-for-2 from beyond three-point range.
Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco was also in action on Friday, beating Layton Christian Academy (Utah) 61-32.
Chris Komin led the Braves with 17 points while elite junior SF Christian Collins recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Komin was an impressive 5-of-10 from three and attempted just one shot from inside the arc.
