The 2024 high school football season is here, as multiple states begin to play meaningful games this weekend.

On3 has named its preseason high school All-America Team, tabbing 22 of the nation’s best as they gear up for their upcoming campaigns.

Multiple top-ranked prospects are featured, including the likes of Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Bryce Underwood, Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Dakorien Moore and Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle David Sanders Jr.

Nine states are represented, though Florida leads the way with eight selections. Texas is next with six, while Alabama and Georgia also feature multiple representatives.

Offense

QB: Bryce Underwood LSU commit
School: Belleville (Mich.)

The nation’s top prospect threw for 3,329 yards, 41 touchdowns and just three interceptions as a junior en route to a 13-1 season. Underwood completed 64.9 percent of his passes and also ran for 199 yards and seven scores.

RB: Alvin Henderson — Auburn commit
School: Elba (Ala.)

Henderson bulldozed his way to a state record 61 touchdowns last season, nabbing 3,523 yards along the way. His stellar three-year career has witnessed over 7,200 yards and 132 TDs on the ground.

WR: Dakorien Moore — Oregon commit
School: Duncanville (Texas)

Against stout competition, Moore caught 69 passes for 1,486 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior, leading Duncanville to a second consecutive state title. The No. 1 wideout in the nation averaged over 21 yards per catch last season.

WR: Cortez Mills — Oklahoma commit
School: Homestead (Fla.)

Mills racked up 1,640 yards and 18 touchdowns on 79 receptions last season, carrying Homestead to a 12-win year and a deep playoff run that nearly culminated in a state championship.

WR: Daylan McCutcheon — Florida State commit
School: Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy

McCutcheon was one of the few blue-chip receivers in the nation who nearly reached 100 receptions last season. Catching 92 passes for 1,423 yards and 19 touchdowns, the Lone Star wideout will be a frequent target for Lovejoy once again in 2024.

TE: Matt Henderson — Penn State commit
School: Powhatan (Va.)

No blue-chip tight end caught more passes than the versatile Henderson last season. The 6-foot-5, 208-pounder reeled in 74 catches for 1,113 yards and 14 touchdowns.

OL: David Sanders Jr.
School: Charlotte Providence Day

One of the most sought-after prospects in the nation, Sanders possesses numerous college-ready traits at the offensive tackle position and has the ability to impact the game at every level.

OL: Ty Haywood — Alabama commit
School: Denton (Texas) Ryan

Haywood brings some of the strongest hands in the nation to the gridiron and will once again showcase his elite skillset against high-rated defensive prospects this fall.

OL: Michael Carroll — Alabama commit
School: Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy

After dominating the trenches in Pennsylvania, Carroll is the latest prospect to transfer to the powerhouse IMG Academy for his senior season, where he’ll look to showcase his status as one of the top interior linemen in the nation.

OL: Solomon Thomas — Florida State commit
School: Jacksonville Raines

Thomas is capable of imposing his will anywhere on the offensive line and is a beast at the point of attack. The Sunshine State standout is one of the most physical, yet technical linemen in the country.

OL: Jackson Cantwell (2026)
School: Nixa (Mo.)

The towering junior, who checks in at 6-foot-7.5 and 305 pounds, wows with his raw strength and athleticism. Cantwell is the son of a pair of Olympic track and field athletes and also impresses as a shot put thrower when he’s not burying defensive linemen in the trenches.

Defense

EDGE: Isaiah Gibson — Georgia commit
School: Warner Robins (Ga.)

Thanks to a 7-foot wingspan, Gibson is nightmare coming off the edge, proven by his 17 sacks and 55 pressures as a junior. The Peach State product is as disruptive as they come on Friday nights.

EDGE: Javion Hilson — Florida State commit
School: Cocoa (Fla.)

Hilson put up monster numbers as a junior, collecting 94 tackles, including 27 tackles for loss and 14 sacks. He’s accounted for well over 150 lost yards across his previous two seasons.

DL: Elijah Griffin
School: Savannah (Ga.) Christian

Touted as the nation’s top defensive line prospect, Griffin lived in the backfield in 2023, amassing 97 total tackles, 31 for loss and a whopping 17.5 sacks. The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder is set to cause even more havoc this fall.

DL: Jahkeem Stewart (2026)
School: Reserve (La.) St. Augustine

Stewart has already proven to be a one-man wrecking crew, as he ransacked opposing offensive lines for 85 tackles, including 33 for loss and 20 sacks as a sophomore. The top-ranked prospect already boasts college-ready ability and the build to boot.

LB: Ty Jackson
School: Loxahatchee (Fla.) Seminole Ridge

Jackson has now tallied over 100 total tackles in each of his three seasons at the high school level following a 135-tackle junior season. In addition to roaming the middle of the field at an elite level, Jackson also found pay dirt seven times as a receiver and on special teams last fall.

LB: Riley Pettijohn — Ohio State commit
School: McKinney (Texas)

Pettijohn broke out as a junior in 2023, finishing the season with 125 tackles, including eight for loss, five pass breakups, three sacks and an interception. He averaged over 11 tackles per game and enters his senior season as one of the most athletic defensive prospects in the Lone Star State.

CB: Devin Sanchez — Ohio State commit
School: Houston North Shore

Squaring off against some of the nation’s top wide receivers, Sanchez has rightfully emerged as a premier cornerback thanks to his top-notch technicality and ability to succeed when put on an island. He wrangled five interceptions last season.

CB: DJ Pickett — LSU commit
School: Zephyrhills (Fla.)

Pickett’s high school stats showcase him as an elite wide receiver, as he had over 1,000 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior. His future lies in the secondary — where he’s just as good, thanks to his long and tall build that pairs nicely with his dynamic athleticism.

SAF: Anquon Fegans — Auburn commit
School: Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson

Across three seasons, Fegans has collected 18 interceptions and over 170 total tackles. The premier ballhawk is set to state his case for top safety in the nation once more in 2024.

SAF: Hylton Stubbs — Miami commit
School: Jacksonville Mandarin

Stubbs continues to stand out amidst a stacked defense that highlights one of the top programs in Florida. In addition to six interceptions and six pass breakups, the 6-foot-2 defensive back also managed 97 total tackles last season.

ATH: Jonah Williams
School: Galveston (Texas) Ball

Previously listed as a linebacker and now listed as a safety, Williams is an elite Swiss Army knife-type that excels at every level on the field. He intercepted four passes and landed 58 tackles as a junior while also hauling in over 600 yards and 10 total touchdowns as a running back and receiver.
