Oregon 4-star WR commit Cooper Perry to miss Arizona 5A Playoffs with injury
The state of Arizona will be without one of its top athletes as the playoffs commence this week.
Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Prep‘s Cooper Perry announced on Thursday that his senior season has come to an end. Azcentral’s Richard Obert reported that Perry suffered an injury last week and will be unavailable for Notre Dame’s playoff run.
Perry, an Oregon commit, played just five full games at wide receiver this season as he doubled as Notre Dame’s quarterback for part of the season. In those five games at wideout, he tallied 44 receptions for 707 yards and 11 touchdowns.
“What a ride. Thank you Lord,” Perry wrote on X.
Notre Dame Prep finished the regular season with a 5-5 record. The Saints are the No. 11 seed in the AIA 5A state tournament and will take on No. 6 seed Verrado on Friday night in round-one action. They rank as the No. 30 team in the state overall, according to the On3 Composite.

“Everything about that program made it right,” Perry told On3. “They have been on me from the start, my first-ever visit and my last.”
