Ethan Holliday hits during a Stillwater High School baseball game in Stillwater, Okla., Saturday, April 30, 2022.

The 2025 cycle is chock-full of high school baseball talent. At the top of the pack stands a slew of prospects who are getting mocked as potential first-round picks in the upcoming MLB Draft.

Stillwater (Okla.) infielder Ethan Holliday, the son of former seven-time MLB All-Star Matt Holliday and the younger brother of budding Baltimore Orioles sensation Jackson Holliday, looks to be on a similar fast track to the big leagues and could very well hear his name called at No. 1 in July.

The state of California continues to churn out talent, but there’s an especially-elite trio of teammates at Corona High in right-handed pitcher Seth Hernandez, infielder and right-hander Billy Carlson, as well as infielder Brady Ebel. All three are committed to SEC programs but are all potential first-rounders, too.

Below is a look at the current top 10 high school baseball prospects in the 2025 cycle, according to Perfect Game:

1. SS Ethan Holliday

School: Stillwater (Okla.)
Bats/Throws: L/R
Status: Committed to Oklahoma State

Standing at 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Holliday’s build looks a lot more like his father, Matt, than his brother, Jackson. Ethan has already shown plenty of legitimate power and has a plus arm to boot. Committed to hometown Oklahoma State, Perfect Game says Holliday has a fluid swing with “natural feel for the barrel.”

2. SS Xavier Neyens

School: Mount Vernon (Wash.)
Bats/Throws: L/R
Status: Committed to Oregon State

Neyens has the prototypical build at 6-foot-4 and just over 200 pounds. Like Holliday, the Oregon State commit has bundles of power from the left side and a great arm that profiles well as a third baseman down the road. Neyens also has potential as a pitcher, as Perfect Game notes he is “up to 94 mph on the mound with a power slider.”

3. RHP Seth Hernandez

School: Corona (Calif.)
Bats/Throws: R/R
Status: Committed to Vanderbilt

Capable of reaching 98 MPH with a solid four-pitch mix, Seth Hernandez is considered by most to be the top high school pitching prospect in the 2025 draft class. The 6-foot-4 righty also excels at the high school level as a corner infielder and outfielder. Committed to Vanderbilt last summer.

4. SS Kayson Cunningham

School: San Antonio (Texas) Johnson
Bats/Throws: L/R
Status: Committed to Texas

Cunningham is a toolsy shortstop prospect who knows how to get on base. Despite standing at 5-foot-10, the Texas commit is quick, has a solid arm and plenty of other intangibles that have him projected to go early in the first round of the upcoming draft. “Everything is on the barrel,” Perfect Game writes.

5. SS Billy Carlson

School: Corona (Calif.)
Bats/Throws: R/R
Status: Committed to Tennessee

Likely the top glove at the high school level in his draft class, Carlson puts on a show at shortstop with his top-notch agility and also has impressive bat speed at the plate. Committed to Tony Vitello and Tennessee, the 6-foot-1 righty also has plenty to like on the mound and is a legitimate two-way prospect.

6. OF Sean Gamble

School: IMG Academy (Fla.)
Bats/Throws: L/R
Status: Committed to Vanderbilt

Another impressive left-handed bat, Gamble profiles as a potential fit at both center field and shortstop. The Des Moines, Iowa native is a plus athlete with a big arm and 6-foot-2 frame. Committed to Vandy, Gamble still has “tons of projection left,” according to Perfect Game.

7. 3B Gavin Fien

School: Great Oak (Calif.)
Bats/Throws: R/R
Status: Committed to Texas

A prospect that continues to show layers in his game, Fien has the look of a perennial corner infielder. A line-drive machine with a solid arm, the Texas commit checks in at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds and will likely continue to bolster his stock ahead of the summer.

8. OF Dean Moss

School: IMG Academy (Fla.)
Bats/Throws: L/R
Status: Committed to LSU

Originally hailing from Atherton, Calif., Moss has been at the Florida powerhouse IMG since the beginning of his high school career and continues to flex an impressive bat. The LSU commit sprays the ball all over the field and “looks to impact the baseball with every swing,” according to Perfect Game.

9. LHP Kruz Schoolcraft

School: Sunset (Ore.)
Bats/Throws: L/L
Status: Committed to Tennessee

Schoolcraft reclassified up to the 2025 cycle at the end of 2023 and now looks like the top left-handed arm in the class. Towering over batters with his 6-foot-8 frame, the Tennessee commit touches 97 with his fastball and pairs it well with a slider and changeup. He also has the look of a first baseman thanks to some above-average power at the plate.

10. SS Brady Ebel

School: Corona (Calif.)
Bats/Throws: L/R
Status: Committed to LSU

Similar to Fien, Ebel brings plenty of tools to his game that look capable of turning the corner as he continues to develop. Above-average bat speed and a solid arm stand out for the LSU commit. Ebel has a “big broad shouldered build with tons of projection,” Perfect Game writes.
