Rawlings unveiled the nine winners of the 2025 High School Gold Glove Award. Similar to Major League Baseball, this recognition is awarded to high school baseball players who have demonstrated exceptional defensive prowess.

Libertyville catcher Quinn Schambow is one of the winners after finishing the 2024-25 season with a .997 fielding percentage (269 putouts and 21 assists out of 291 attempts). His command on the defensive end is vital to the Wildcats finishing the season with a 37-4 record, capped off by a victory over McHenry to capture the Illinois Class 4A state championship. Likewise, Schambow hit .451 with 47 RBIs, 23 extra-base hits, and three home runs.

Joining Schambow in the 2025 Rawlings High School Gold Glove Award winners is St. Thomas Aquinas infielder Cru Huenfield, who finished with a .956 fielding percentage and a .455 batting average. He also drilled 36 RBIs, 13 doubles, and four home runs. Huenfield’s efforts helped the Saints compile a 27-4 record and claim the Kansas Class 5A state championship over Great Bend.

Another High School Gold Glove winner is Stillwater Pioneers shortstop Ethan Holliday. The son of former MLB All-Star Matt Holliday and brother of Baltimore Orioles infielder Jackson Holliday finished the year with a .617 batting average, 51 RBIs, and 16 home runs. Holliday is also the 2025 Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year.

Finally, Corona shortstop Brady Ebel is one of the High School Gold Glove Award recipients. During his senior season, Ebel had a .962 fielding percentage, coupled with a .341 batting average and 17 RBIs. His efforts helped the Panthers reach the CIF Division 1 state semifinals and finish the season with a 28-3 record.
