Report: Faith Family Academy of Oak Cliff leaves University Interscholastic League

According to a report from The Dallas Morning News, the Faith Family Academy of Oak Cliff in Dallas has dropped out of the Texas University Interscholastic League in order to play a national basketball schedule. The school has dropped from the league in all sports.

Last week, the UIL penalized the Faith Family girls basketball team and its coaching staff for recruiting violations after hiring Andrea Robinson away from DeSoto. The team was to be banned from participating in postseason games this year.

Blue-chip prospects Amari Byles and Amayah Garcia were among the several players to transfer to Faith Family. Both played for Robinson at DeSoto, per the Oak Cliff Advocate.

Faith Family Oak Cliff’s boys basketball team is home to star junior power forward Davion Adkins. Adkins is the nation’s No. 26 overall prospect and No. 3 power forward in the 2026 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Previously, 2024 combo guard Isaac Williams went on to play for Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
