Cleveland (Ohio) Villa Angela-St Joseph Ohio State running back commit Bo Jackson will miss the remainder of his senior season with an injury, cleveland.com confirmed with VASJ coach Jeff Rotsky. Jackson reportedly sustained the injury on Sept. 13 against Kenton.

The 6-foot-0, 210-pound Jackson committed to the in-state Buckeyes on June 4 fresh off of his official visit to Columbus. He was the first recruit to commit to new OSU running backs coach Carlos Locklyn.

Jackson spoke with Lettermen Row about the visit and what stood out to him — being with head coach Ryan Day.

“It’s always a good time meeting with Coach Day. Pretty much his whole message is that he wants me there and that they’re really interested in me. And Ohio State is home. My parents like him a lot. He calls me every once in a while so I have a really good relationship with Coach Day.”

“Ohio State is definitely at the top after this visit. I liked it a lot.”

Jackson made headlines in early September when he racked up over 200 rushing yards and three touchdowns in the first half — and over 150 yards in the first quarter alone — in a 60-0 win over Mansfield.

Jackson is the nation’s No. 83 overall prospect, No. 4 running back and No. 5 recruit from Ohio in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Villa Angela-St. Joseph is 5-1 on the year with wins against GlenOak, Cardinal Mooney, Mansfield, Kenton and Cleveland Central Catholic. The Vikings dropped their first game of the season two weeks ago in a 38-35 heartbreaker to McDowell.
