Stars will compete for Georgia high school football state championships this week
At 4pm ET on Monday inside Mercedes Benz Stadium, week 15 will kick off in the state of Georgia. It will be the first of eight state championship games that will run through Wednesday evening.
Four of the top seven teams in the Georgia High School Football Composite Ranking are playing in the Benz and there will be some stars competing for rings in Atlanta this week.

Bowdon vs. Brooks County – Dec. 16 (4pm)
The headliners in this contest are 2026 four-star tight end Kaiden Prothro for Bowdon and 2027 athlete George Lamons for Brooks County. Both programs have won state titles, both produce talent and you will hear a lot about Protho and Lamons in the coming years.
Protho is already a major target for schools like Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Notre Dame and many others. He is the No. 37 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking. Lamons is a 6-foot-3, 200-pound playmaker with early offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, South Carolina and Tennessee.
North Oconee vs. Marist – Dec. 16 (7pm)
Landon Roldan had a big off-season where he committed to Georgia over Georgia Tech. The wide receiver is a playmaker for North Oconee 2026 quarterback Harrison Faulkner delivers him the football. One of the biggest risers this fall has been Khamari Brooks. The 6-4, 220-pound junior at North Oconee has offers to play EDGE and tight on the next level and he has added 20 offers since the season began. Brooks attended games at schools like Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and Georgia Tech this season.
Toombs County vs. Northeast Macon – Dec. 17 (1pm)
One of the highest-ranked recruits competing for a state title this weekend was in the headlines recently for backing off his commitment to Tennessee and signing with Florida on Dec. 4. Lagonza Hayward is a two-way player for Toombs County and he is the No. 81 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking. He is from the state of Florida and is expected to compete for early playing time in Gainesville for the Gators.
Amari White is a 2026 EDGE out of Northeast with an offer from Connecticut.
Carver Columbus vs. Burke County – Dec. 17 (4pm)
Both programs in this contest have produced talent in the Peach State over the years. Burke County is back under head coach Franklin Stephens and Carver Columbus has recruits with a lot of eyes on it this week. Two big names at Carver to know are 2026 four-star EDGE Tristian Givens and 2026 three-star inside offensive lineman Parker Pritchett. Both have over 20 offers and both are being pursued by multiple ACC, Big Ten and SEC programs.
Milton vs. Langston Hughes – Dec. 17 (7pm)
This game is loaded. Both Milton and Langston Hughes have played in this game multiple times in recent years and both have won. On Milton’s side, they are let by Miami quarterback signee Luke Nickel, Georgia wide receiver signee CJ Wiley, Georgia tight end signee Ethan Barbour, Auburn tight end signee Ryan Ghea, Clemson offensive tackle signee Brayden Jacobs, Tennessee cornerback signee Dylan Lewis and Arkansas defensive line signee Caleb Bell. Running back TJ Lester has had a big season too.
Langston Hughes is led by future rivals, Florida offensive tackle signee Tavaris Dice and Georgia interior offensive lineman signee Dontrell Glover. Rutgers signed three-star EDGE Canaan Edwards earlier this month too. They are skill talent too in 2026 four-star tight end Xavier Tiller (Texas A&M commit) and four-star running back Carsyn Baker.
Hebron Christian Academy vs. Prince Avenue Christian – Dec. 18 (1pm)
A trio of ACC signees leads Hebron Christian Academy. Linebacker Carrington Coombs is headed for Georgia Tech, safety Gerritt Kemp signed with NC State and Virginia inked defensive lineman Sichan John.
Christian Garrett is the leader for Prince Avenue Christian, which is going for its third title in a row. Garrett was at one time committed to Georgia, but flipped to Georgia Tech late in the summer. Jake Bobo is injured at quarterback, but 2027 signal caller Ben Musser is one to watch. Wide receivers Brody Tolbert and CJ Dockery (2026) are two to watch. Mason Townsend is an anchor on the offensive line. Running back Andrew Beard is one of the top running backs in the 2027 class. He will be able to name his school.

Calhoun vs. Jefferson – Dec. 18 (4pm)
Texas tight end signee Emaree Winston is a name to know for Calhoun. He is a versatile weapon that plays basketball for the Yellow Jackets too.
Georgia State signed three-star EDGE Kelan Butler out of Jefferson earlier this month. Sammy Brown is starting at linebacker for Clemson as a freshman and his younger brother Max Brown is a name to know for the Dragons. Schools like Auburn, Ohio State and Tennessee among others have already offered the 2027 linebacker.
Carrollton vs. Grayson – Dec. 18 (7pm)
Carrollton is loaded with talent in the 2025 and 2026 classes. Future Colorado quarterback Julian Lewis is the leader. He has weapons to throw to, including four-star athlete Ryan Mosley (2026), wide receiver Peyton Zachary (2026) and tight end Zion Cooley (2025). Running back Kimauri Farmer (2026) is a weapon with multiple offers.
On defense, the secondary is loaded with Texas safety signee Zelus Hicks, Florida State cornerback signee Shamar Arnoux and former Alabama cornerback commit Dorian Barney (2026) leading the way. Linebacker CJ Gamble and defensive lineman Zykie Helton are two juniors to watch. Helton was at one time committed to Alabama. Kweli Fielder is a 2028 offensive lineman with early offers.
On Grayson, Tyler Atkinson is one of the top prospects in the country. The 2026 linebacker is the No. 8 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking. Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, Texas and USC among others are in pursuit.
The defense is loaded. Florida defensive line signee Joseph Mbatchou, linebacker Anthony Davis (2026), Georgia Tech EDGE signee Andre Fuller, NC State defensive line signee Josiah Victor and Indiana cornerback signee Jaylen Bell are impact players. Grayson has numerous underclassmen with major offers too.
On offense, Texas offensive tackle signee Nick Brooks is a leader. Quarterback Travis Burgess is a junior and he has had a breakout season. Alexander Sanchez signed with Appalachian State to play wide receiver.
