Tennessee High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams
On3.com

On3’s Massey Ratings in Tennessee saw their most significant shifts yet in the second-to-last week of high school football in the state.

Following the results from last week, Tennessee had two major movements in the top-five along with several more in the back of the Top-10. No. 11 through No. 25 also saw motions as part of that, including one new addition to the Top-25.

Now, going into the final week of the regular season, multiple teams are playing for undefeated seasons or postseason positioning going into November. Five games on Friday will be between opponents in the Top-25 with three of those being between teams in the Top-20.

Here’s how On3’s Massey Ratings look in Tennessee following their latest update earlier today:

1. Baylor School

Previous Ranking: 1
Baylor School maintained the top spot in On3’s Massey Ratings with a 32-21 win at Montgomery Bell Academy in the Top-25. David Gabriel-Georges rushed for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the victory in Nashville. While getting close in the fourth quarter, the Red Raiders will still able to take it and move to 9-0 ahead of their season finale this week at Knoxville Catholic.

2. Christ Presbyterian Academy

Previous Ranking: 5
Christ Presbyterian Academy finally changed the top-two in the rankings in Tennessee with their 21-7 win over Franklin Road Academy. Rawls Patterson and Owen Cabell led the Lions again coming off fall break by combining for nearly 40 touches for 350 yards and two touchdowns. CPA, now the champions of DII-AA, is also at 9-0 ahead of their final game at Davidson Academy on Thursday.

3. Oakland

Previous Ranking: 2
Oakland fell from the top-two after their first loss of the year with a 32-31 home defeat in overtime against Ravenwood in a game between teams in the Top-10. After starting up at 14-0 just minutes in, the Patriots were outscored 31-17 from then on, including in the extra period where a two-point conversion ended their perfect season. They can still potentially finish at 9-1, though, with their last game against another highly-rated opponent at Riverdale on Thursday.

4. Ensworth

Previous Ranking: 4
Ensworth stayed at No. 4 with a post-bye week win at 36-3 over Briarcrest Christian. With this latest victory coming off their break, they now have their first start at 9-0 since 2012. The Tigers are now set to finish undefeated as they go on the road for their season finale at Christian Brothers on Friday.

5. Ravenwood

Previous Ranking: 7
Ravenwood moved into the top-five after they were on the winning side of that overtime outcome at Oakland with the 32-31 win. After tying it towards the end of the fourth, Femi Babalola completed both of his throws on their two plays in overtime with a touchdown and then the winning two-point conversion. Now, after being the team that remained unbeaten, the Raptors will look to finish at 10-0 with their final game against Brentwood in a Top-15 matchup on Friday.

6. McCallie School

Previous Ranking: 6
McCallie School remained at No. 6 with a 38-7 win over Knoxville Catholic. After a 31-0 lead at halftime, they took the game by that margin too as they scored five touchdowns and held their opponent to just 141 yards of offense. They’ll now end the regular season by hosting a Top-20 game against Lipscomb Academy.

7. Maryville

Previous Ranking: 7
Maryville maintained their spot at No. 7 despite their first loss of the season at 24-17 to Alcoa. The Battle of Pistol Creek featured two teams in the Top-15 with the Tornado’s win moving them into the Top-10. As for the Rebels, their undefeated season is over with a game left to still finish at 9-1 with them at Farragut on Thursday.

8. Collierville

Previous Ranking: 10
Collierville moved up two spots after reaching a record of 9-0 with a 27-6 ranked win over Whitehaven. Grant Troutman went 17-26 (65.4%) for 217 yards while throwing and rushing for separate scores. The Dragons are now a top-dozen matchup away from an undefeated season as they’ll play at Houston on Friday.

9. Brentwood Academy

Previous Ranking: 12
Brentwood Academy got themselves back into the Top-10 with a Top-15 win at 24-16 over Lipscomb Academy. The passing game got this one done as QB George McIntyre (Tennessee) found Neo Clifton and Kesean Bowman for a combined stat line of 11 receptions for 239 yards and a touchdown apiece. Now, after a 3-3 start, the Eagles have won three straight ahead of their season finale against Montgomery Bell Academy in the Top-25

10. Alcoa

Previous Ranking: 13
Alcoa ascended three spots into the Top-10 with their 24-17 win at Maryville last week. QB Eli Graf totaled three touchdowns on the night while their defense did enough, including a fourth-and-goal stop to end it on the road. The Tornadoes will now actually play twice this week with one tonight against Union County before their season finale at Kingston on Friday.
