The Top-25 only saw three new additions in the back half of the ratings. As for the top half, only one moved into the Top-10 with only a few changes throughout as each of the top-three remained the sam and four others didn’t shift or moved no more than a spot.
With that, Tennessee has four games within the Top-25 this week with three being between in-state opponents and one going out of state.
Here’s how On3’s Massey Ratings look now in Tennessee following their latest update on Monday:
1. Baylor School
Previous Ranking: 1
A week after reclaiming the No. 1 spot, Baylor School remains there in this week’s rankings following a 45-14 win over Christian Brothers. They once again had a balanced attack on offense with QB Briggs Cherry completing 82.6% of his throws in this one for 230 yard and three touchdowns while their pair of backs also rushed for a trio of scores. They also forced two turnovers on defense. The Red Raiders are now set up for consecutive Top-10 matchups starting this week in Nashville at Brentwood Academy.
2. Oakland
Previous Ranking: 2
Oakland escaped from their first loss of the season in what would have been an upset with a 13-12 win at Blackman. They found themselves down early and then at 12-0 in the second half to the Blaze. It then took 13 unanswered from the Patriots as well as a blocked game-winning field goal to get out of the in-town rivalry with the one-point victory. They’ll now try and get back to it with a two-game home stand starting this week against Rockvale.
3. Christ Presbyterian Academy
Previous Ranking: 3
CPA won one of the toughest remaining games on their schedule with a 49-16 win over Battle Ground Academy. QB Hutson Chance found WR Owen Cabell all night, including for all three of his passing scores, as he completed 72.2% of his passes for 269 yards while accounting for four touchdowns in total. The Lions will now start a stretch where they’ll be heavily-favored with it beginning this week against versus Goodpasture Christian School.
4. Ensworth
Previous Ranking: 7
Ensworth made it into the top-five after a Top-15 win over Lipscomb Academy at 17-3. It was low-scoring outing for both teams but they’re now undefeated through four games by scoring 33.8 ppg. while only allowing just over four points to their opponents. The Tigers will now play their third of what is a five-game run against ranked opponents in a few days against Memphis University School.
5. McCallie School
Previous Ranking: 6
McCallie School also moved into the top-five with a big, 41-7 win in a Top-10 matchup over Brentwood Academy. After a close first half, McCallie scored three touchdowns, including a pick-six off of George MacIntyre, in the final four minutes of the second quarter as part of scoring 35 unanswered. The Blue Tornado will now continue their difficult schedule with a game this week against No. 23 MBA.
6. Maryville
Previous Ranking: 5
While Maryville has seen their schedule pick up over the last two weeks, they’re still unbeaten following a 23-17 victory over Science Hill. After three straight shutouts to start their season, they’ve met the challenges of their past pair of games on the road with a 21-point win over Knoxville West and this six-point outcome against the Hilltoppers to knock each out of the Top-15. The Rebels will now return home to play Hardin Valley Academy this week before three more Top-40 matchups.

7. Ravenwood
Previous Ranking: 8
Ravenwood put the O in Overton last week on the road with a second shutout of their season at the exact score of 48-0. The Raptors will now have a chance to remain undefeated this week and next in their district as significant favorites, while keeping Independence winless on the year on Friday, before playing ranked opponents in each of their final three.
8. Houston
Previous Ranking: 4
Houston fell from the top-five and towards the back of the top-ten following a 21-14 loss to Whitehaven. Although being tied until the final seconds before a go-ahead touchdown by the Tigers, they were unable to overcome six turnovers in the defeat. The Mustangs must now regroup quickly as they’ll cross state lines to play Tupelo, the No. 3 ranked team in Mississippi.
9. Brentwood Academy
Previous Ranking: 9
Brentwood Academy held at No. 9 despite being on the losing side of that top-rated matchup last week at McCallie to fall to 3-2. It gets no easier for the Eagles, though, as they’ll end a run of five Top-25 opponents, including four in the top-dozen and three in the top-five, over the first half of their year this week against none other than No. 1 Baylor School.
10. Collierville
Previous Ranking: 11
Collierville burned Arlington at 50-7 following a 43-7 lead at halftime. QB Grant Troutman completed 78.6% of his throws in the game for 184 yards and four touchdowns while they also had a rushing score, a pick-six, and even a two-point conversion from their kicker. That sets the Dragons up for a Top-15 matchup this week at Germantown.
