The On300, the definitive list of the top 300 prospects in the country, for the Class of 2026 proves why Texas and Florida reign supreme in high school football. Two of the most football-passionate states are tied with the greatest number of elite prospects with 39 each.

Lake Ridge offensive tackle Felix Ojo leads Texas’ list with a 98.29 On3 Industry Ranking. However, despite being a five-star prospect, he remains uncommitted to a college football program. It’s not an anomaly because eight of the top ten prospects from Texas haven’t finalized their decision. Meanwhile, American Heritage quarterback Dia Bell, Florida’s top-ranked prospect in the On300 committed to the University of Texas at Austin. In addition, Tavares linebacker Izayia Williams will stay in-state to represent the Florida Gators, while wide receiver Naeem Burroughs committed to Clemson. Bell, running back Derrek Cooper, edge rusher Jake Kreul, Williams, and offensive tackle Keenyi Pepe complete Florida’s top five prospects.

Furthermore, Georgia comes in at third after Texas and Florida with 30 prospects in the On300. The state’s top prospect, Grayson linebacker Tyler Atkinson, is the eighth-best talent among senior high school players nationwide. Out of Georgia’s top ten, only cornerback Jorden Edmonds (Alabama) and linebacker Xavier Griffin (USC) have committed.

California comes in at fourth with 22 prospects, led by Folsom quarterback Ryder Lyons, who remains uncommitted despite fielding several offers. However, the state’s top wideout, Chris Henry Jr., will play for Ohio State. Likewise, Henry’s Mater Dei teammate, offensive tackle Kodi Greene, will represent the Ducks.
