Another week of high school football in the state of Texas is in the books, and the top 25 rankings have updated after the latest results.

Duncanville remains as the Lone Star State’s top dog, but there have been plenty of other teams moving up and down the rankings after Friday and Saturday’s games.

Below are the top 25 teams in state, per the On3 Massey Ratings:

The On3 Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule and margin of victory. According to the model — four teams from Alabama rank inside the nationwide top 100.

1. Duncanville

Previous: No. 1
The Panthers now sit at 3-0 after a dominant 41-17 win over Waxahachie on Friday night. Alabama QB commit Keelon Russell was stellar yet again, connecting with Oregon pledge Dakorien Moore for three touchdowns. In total, he threw for 351 yards and six touchdowns while completing 78.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 39 yards.

2. Atascocita

Previous: No. 4 (+2)
Atascocita pulled off one of the biggest — and most impressive — wins of the early season by beating a strong Katy team 41-24. A top-10 showdown with Austin Westlake last weekend again put them to the test, but they passed with flying colors by rolling to a 39-21 that ended the Chaps’ 44-game regular season winning streak dating back to 2018. After a week off, they’ll face a newly minted top-25 C.E. King squad on Friday.

3. North Shore

Previous: No. 3
North Shore dominated South Oak Cliff 38-0 to open the season and then handled Crowley 28-13 in Week 2. The Mustangs smothering defense overwhelmed Westfield 47-3 on Friday night as they stayed undefeated. Following a bye, they’ll host a 3-0 Humble squad looking to pull off a major upset.

4. Southlake Carroll

Previous: No. 2 (-2)
The Dragons made relatively easy work of Midland in Week 1 in a 48-24 romp, then dominated Hebron to get off to a 2-0 start. Awaiting them in Week 3 was a matchup with top-15 foe Byron Nelson, and while the Bobcats put up a fight, Carroll ultimately pulled away for a 33-21 victory to move to 3-0. Week 4 looked like another easy win on paper, but Trinity gave Carroll everything it had before the Dragons prevailed with a 56-48 win.

5. North Crowley

Previous: No. 5
After a 49-28 blowout win over then-No. 7 Denton Guyer last week, Crowley trucked Rockwall en route to a 70-17 victory on Thursday night. Wide receiver Quentin Gibson totaled 118 total yards and four touchdowns, a week after hauling in seven receptions for 253 yards and four scores.

6. DeSoto

Previous: No. 6
The defending state champion Eagles have been an offensive juggernaut early in the season, scoring 70, 51 and 57 points in their first three games. Week 4 was no different as they blitzed an overmatched Mesquite squad 71-0.

7. Westlake

Previous: No. 10 (+3)
The Chaparrals weren’t able to keep up with a high octane Atascocita offense and suffered their first regular-season loss since 2018 last weekend. They responded with a huge 41-16 win over then-No. 24 Steele on the road to move back into the top 10.

8. Summer Creek

Previous: No. 8
The Bulldogs bulldozed their first three opponents this season, beating Shadow Creek, Lamar and Spring by a combined score of 156-0. After a bye over the weekend, they’ll look to continue their winning ways against an 0-3 Channelview team.

9. Allen

Previous: No. 7 (-2)
The Eagles were dominant in a 42-14 win over Cedar Hill two weeks ago. They followed it up with another strong performance against Rock Hill, rolling to a 44-3 win and notching their third win of the season. After a bit of a slow start, they pulled away to beat Plano 38-21 and remain undefeated.

10. Lake Travis

Previous: No. 9 (-1)
The Cavaliers has been as impressive as anyone early in the season by moving into the top 10. Following wins over Arlington Martin, Legacy and Rockwall, they rolled over San Marcos 62-13 over the weekend.
