Wisconsin QB commit Landyn Locke out for senior season with torn ACL
Rockwall (Texas) three-star quarterback and Wisconsin commit Landyn Locke will miss the rest of the high school football season with a torn ACL, according to the Dallas Morning News.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pounder was injured in the team’s game last weekend against Lake Travis and was helped off the field. On Tuesday, he tweeted “Thank you Rockwall football” with a handful of images of him and his teammates.
And on Wednesday, Riddle reported that he had suffered a season-ending knee-injury just two games into his final year of high school football.
Locke, who committed to the Badgers in June, was off to a strong start in his senior campaign, completing 30 of 54 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns. That followed up a terrific junior season — his first as a full-time starter — where he threw for over 1,700 yards and 19 touchdowns while completing better than 60 percent over his attempts.
