Texas continues to lead the country as the premier breeding ground for top high school football players. On nearly an annual basis, the state puts out the most blue-chip recruits — and did so again in the Class of 2025.

Super Bowl LIX was another example of the state’s continued dominance, with a game-high 12 players from the Lone Star State on the roster of the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

The rising senior class in 2026 is equally loaded, with 12 players who rank among the top 100 nationally and more than 40 blue-chippers representing dozens of schools. Below are the 10 best high school football recruits in the state for the Class of ’26:

1. QB Keisean Henderson

High School: Legacy School of Sports Sciences

After primarily playing receiver to start his career, Henderson has blossomed into one of the nation’s most dynamic quarterbacks. He was named the MVP of the Navy All-American Bowl last month, and is coming off a junior season where he completed 173 of 263 passes (65.7%) for 2,689 yards and 25 touchdowns. He also added 347 yards and 7 TDs on the ground. Top Offers: Houston (commit), Oregon, LSU, Auburn, Georgia
