Top-ranked girls basketball prospect Saniyah Hall transfers to SPIRE Academy

Saniyah Hall, the top-ranked Class of 2026 girls basketball prospect, will return to her home state of Ohio. The five-star combo guard announced on Instagram her transfer from Florida’s Montverde Academy to SPIRE Academy. She posted it with the caption, “ending the chapter at home.”
In her lone season at Montverde, Hall averaged a team-high 20.3 points per game. She also contributed to other aspects, as proven by her 6.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.8 steals, and 1.4 block per game. Her leadership was crucial to the Eagles’ 26-2 record, making them Florida’s best girls basketball team based on the On3 Composite Team Rankings.
However, their season ended with a two-point loss to IMG Academy in the Chipotle Nationals championship game. Still, her achievements earned Saniyah Hall a First Team Jersey Mike’s Naismith High School All-American selection.
The Amherst native will join a team that ended the 2024-25 Ohio girls’ basketball season with a 7-13 record. Before transferring to Montverde, Hall played at Laurel and led the Gators to a second-place finish in the 2023-24 Ohio Division II girls’ basketball state tournament.
