Top-ranked high school basketball players among McDonald's All-American 2025 nominees
The McDonald’s All-American Game is one of the preeminent exhibitions featuring the best American and Canadian high school basketball players. What Bob Geoghan started in 1977 has become an annual extravaganza that hosts the next generation of hoop stars.
This year, Brooklyn’s Barclays Center will host the game featuring some of the highly touted prospects in the On3 Industry Ranking. Only the best of the best go through, considering only two teams will come out from over 200 candidates.
Top-ranked prospect AJ Dybantsa (Utah Prep) and No. 6 prospect Koa Peat (Perry) headline the West nominees. Joining them on the list are No. 15 Jalen Haralson and No. 18 Darius Adams, both from Indiana’s La Lumiere School.
California high school basketball players dominate the McDonald’s All-American West nominees. Leading the way are No. 3 Darryn Peterson, No. 12 Brayden Burries (Roosevelt), and No. 16 Tounde Yessoufou (St. Joseph). Also coming from the Golden State are No. 17 Alijah Arenas (Chatsworth) and No. 24 Nikolas Khamenia (Harvard-Westlake).
Meanwhile, nominees from Texas include No. 13 Kingston Flemings (William J. Brennan) and No. 20 Shelton Henderson (Bellaire). Likewise, No. 22 prospect Trey McKenney (St. Mary’s) will represent Michigan. Therefore, here’s the complete list of West nominees for the April 1 game.

Conversely, leading the East nominees are brothers Cameron and Cayden Boozer. These Columbus stalwarts are ranked second and 23rd in the National On3 Industry Ranking. No. 4 Nate Ament (Highland), No. 5 Caleb Wilson (Holy Innocents Episcopal), and No. 10 Darius Acuff (IMG Academy) are also among the choices. Here’s the complete list of the East nominees.
A who’s who of future NBA stars have participated in previous editions. Included in the McDonald’s All-American 35th anniversary all-time list are Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Shaquille O’Neal.
Last year, Team East won over Team West 88-86. Don Bosco Prep’s Dylan Harper and Montverde Academy’s Derik Queen shared game MVP honors.
