UConn Signee Braylon Mullins became Greenfield Central's all-time leading scorer

Braylon Mullins became Greenfield-Central’s all-time leading scorer after finishing with 24 points in their February 26 victory over Perry Meridian. The University of Connecticut commit broke John Hamilton’s record with 4:11 left in the third quarter of their 72-44 win.
Mullins stole the ball while the Cougars employed press defense, resulting in a foul by a Falcons player. He converted both free throws to reach 2,065 career high school basketball points. Those charities were just two of his six points in the third quarter.
Mullins had 11 in the opening frame and seven in the second quarter to break the record. He did not play in the fourth quarter because his team was comfortably ahead. Aside from his points, he added six points and six steals in their 21st victory this season.
In addition to establishing a new school record, Mullins has 794 points for the season. It’s a significant improvement from his 625 points during his junior year and 646 combined points from his freshman and sophomore years.
Braylon Mullins emerged as a top prospect this year after earning a 97.93 On3 Industry Ranking. That number makes him the 14th best prospect from the Class of 2025, sixth best among shooting guards, and first in Indiana.

Meanwhile, his averages of 33.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 3.8 steals per game made him a McDonald’s All-American. His sensation season has Huskies fans excited for his arrival.
However, before jumping into college basketball, Mullins and the Cougars are still in the running for a state championship. But first, they will try to win their first sectional title since 1998 against Pendleton Heights. That game will be on March 4 at 7:30 p.m. local time.
If Braylon Mullins and Greenfield-Central survive that challenge, they will face off with Muncie Central on March 7. Advancing to the next round puts them two wins away from the Class 4A Section 9 championship.
