Wisconsin High School Basketball Rankings: On3 Composite Top 25 Teams - Dec. 12
The 2024-25 Wisconsin high school basketball season is finally underway! Hundreds of teams, especially the top 25 in the Wisconsin On3 Basketball Composite Rankings, compete for victories to gain momentum throughout their campaign. Here are the state’s top teams after the initial round of games, including renewed conference rivalries.
The On3 Composite High School Basketball Team Ranking is a proprietary algorithm that compiles rankings listed in the public domain by respected High School media and data companies. It includes Massey, Max Preps, Cal Preps, ESPN, and SI, creating the industry’s most comprehensive and geographically balanced High School Team Ranking.
1. De Pere
The Redbirds opened their season with a 66-56 victory over West De Pere. Zach Kinziger was unstoppable, finishing with 33 points, four rebounds, two assists, and three blocks. Meanwhile, Roam Demovsky added 19 points, seven rebounds, five steals, and two blocks. De Pere wants to start a winning streak against Green Bay Southwest on Dec. 13.
2. Wisconsin Lutheran
The Vikings started the season with three consecutive victories. After edging Brookfield Central and Greendale, Wisconsin Lutheran completed a 79-53 win over fourth-ranked Arrowhead. Kager Knueppel finished with 20 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks. He got support from Zavier Lens and Isaiah Mellock, who combined for 30 points, nine assists, and two steals. A road victory over Whitnall on Dec. 13 gives the Vikings a 4-0 start.
3. Pewaukee
The Pirates are still the third-best team in Wisconsin high school basketball after a 75-63 loss to the Milwaukee Academy of Science. Despite that setback, Pewaukee got inspiring performances from Tyler Tiutczenko (12 points, seven rebounds) and Isaiah Robinson (16 points, five assists, three steals). The Pirates can bounce back with a victory over Greendale on Dec. 13.
4. Arrowhead
The Warhawks are still looking for their first win of the season after losing to Wisconsin Lutheran. Before that, they dropped a 16-point loss in their season opener against Kettle Moraine on Dec. 3. Three days later, they suffered a 62-46 defeat against Muskego. The quest for their breakthrough victory continues against Waukesha North on Dec. 13.
5. Marquette University
The Hilltoppers opened their season with a disappointing one-point loss to Brookfield Central. Two-sport athlete Tommy Novotny led Marquette’s scorers with 16 points, while Christian Miller had 14. Marquette will go on the road to visit Sussex Hamilton for their next match on Dec. 13.
6. Neenah
The Rockets earned their first win of the season, defeating Kimberly 72-58. Mason Flees led Neenah’s charge with 15 points, two rebounds, two steals, and a block. Meanwhile, Nick Schultz contributed 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists, while Cal Juckem had 12. Luke Jung led the Rockets with nine rebounds to go with eight points. Neenah will aim for a 2-1 record against Fond Du Lac on Dec. 13.

7. Kimberly
While the Papermakers lost to Neenah, they have a legitimate primary option in Landen Van Offeren, who finished with 20 points and two steals. Alex Krause scored 14 points, while Ben Grabner scored 10 in the loss. Kimberly can rediscover their winning ways in their Dec. 13 home game against Hortonville.
8. Dominican
The Knights remain undefeated after three games. They defeated Kingdom Prep Lutheran by 43 points (113-70) and Milwaukee Madison by 61 (119-58). In their 61-44 victory over Shoreland Lutheran, Zaihir Jones led the way with 24 points and six rebounds, while Aaron Womack III had 17 points and 11 rebounds. Dominican will aim for a 4-0 mark when they host West Allis Central on Dec. 12.
9. Hamilton
The Chargers registered back-to-back victories after losing to Madison La Follette on Dec. 2. They defeated Wauwatosa East by ten points (70-60) and West Allis Hale by 17 (78-61). After playing their last two games on the road, Hamilton will host Marquette (Dec. 13) and Brookfield Central (Dec. 17) in their next two Wisconsin high school basketball games.
10. Homestead
The Highlanders remain undefeated after demolishing West Bend East 99-54. Oliver Belot (29 points), Tommy O’Hagan, Justin Bliesner (13), and Trevor Polite (12) scored in double figures. Homestead will visit Hartford for their Dec. 13 showdown and head home for their Dec. 17 match against Slinger.
