Warde “You Can Count On Me” Manuel…..

Things change, I guess. August 15, 2025: “ I fully support the university's decision to pursue an appeal.” https://mgoblue.com/news/2025/8/15/football-ncaa-makes-ruling-on-michigan-scouting-and-recruiting-case October 27, 2025: “The University of Michigan, along with its head coach, Sherrone Moore, have withdrawn their appeals to the NCAA regarding its case involving advanced scouting, ESPN reports. Moore reportedly withdrew his appeal on Sept. 29 and Michigan did the same on Oct. 6.” https://www.on3.com/college/michigan-wolverines/news/report-michigan-sherrone-moore-withdraw-appeals-in-sign-stealing-case/

Outside of this message board, we are know as one of the biggest cheats. It’s getting hard to defend against that! There are always these whispers of overreach by the ncaa and crazy facts behinds the allegations, but they never come out and all we are left with is mud on our face.

100% on Michigan. The truth about OSU’s tampering would be out there if it was to the detriment of any other school. At least they learned from bending the knee the first time from false evidence. You’d think it would be known that the NCAA flat out lied and took a sketchy source as truth. But Michigan. Continue to be disappointed in my Alma mater, but how can anybody be surprised anymore. I just want to know who the powers that be are that make these inane decisions, counsel included.

Glad this nonsense is over. Stalions … what a clown. Maybe the article will come out about the rest, hope so. But the rest of college football has moved on.

Basically the only response you can make is “everyone does it”……is what it is.

The fact that this wasnt announced by the University when it happened suggests something about how it would be perceived.

Two years later, and the public relations stupidity continue. You'd think they'd hire some firm to advise them on how to stop getting humiliated by the media. To top it off, you dump this story on Friday, not Monday.

Warde is like a 1k pound anvil tied around the Football programs neck. Zero justification for him remaining employed by UM. Should have been fired the moment he reneged on his contract agreement w/GOAT Harbaugh.

30 million fine, multiple suspensions, another huge loss in the court of public opinion, a rebuilding football program under a coach with no experience and questionable qualifications when the program was on the top with a legend, legacy head coach (who at best was nudged to leave with the way this was handled), well if that is winning…

Just super tremendous points as always @TremendousBlue !!! It’s is great to have true dedication like yourself to remind the board how Michigan has official ownership of O$U both on and off the field! Image

Outside of this message board, haven’t heard a single person talk about this since it ended. Guess if you want to focus on the O$U and little brother message boards you might find something different, but not much more than that!

Critical mistake was dropping the TRO in the first place… should have never happened.

An appeal would have changed zero opinions. Harbaugh wanted to go to the NFL. Winning a natty is winning. Any fan or AD would sign up for one for 30 mil and a few games suspensions. Many are paying more than that just to fire their coaches 😂

1000% Anyone unhappy with the outcome at this point is just looking for a reason to be angry.

It’s not just about the outcome, it’s about the approach of the leadership which is something to be concerned about when dealing with future issues moving forward. This leadership needs to go.

We sound like conspiracy theory people then the dead line cones and goes and nothing. Yes as a whole we are known as "they cheated". Perhaps that is the reality.

We can agree on that and disagree on this particular issue. I’m glad they didn’t drag this out any further.

Yes, I'm sure Warde completely on his own decided to drop the appeal. It's over, it's barely been spoken of since the sanctions came out. Just pay the fine and move on. Those of you hanging on for the crazy conspiracy theory story to come out to completely exonerate Michigan (while also believe Warde is the only reason Harbaugh isn't still here) ... I don't know what to tell you man. We escaped this with zero meaningful penalties. Drop it. We won. Or be this guy. Your choice. Image

No hammer, the money isn’t an issue, and I’m sure Sherrone will be sad he doesn’t get a free trip to Germany to watch his team beat down Western. Other than that, it’s over. Anyone who isn’t satisfied with this outcome would unlikely be satisfied with the next one either. It’s time to move on.
