Day 4 of the 2022 Big Ten Tournament is setting up to be a huge set of semifinal games after the top two seeds fell in the quarterfinals for the first time ever. The craziness continued in the first semifinal as No. 5 seed Iowa fought off No. 9 seed Indiana on a near-half-court shot by Jordan Bohannon with 1.1 seconds left.

No. 3 seed Purdue and No. 7 seed Michigan State had to follow that up, and it got close in the second half. However, it was the Boilermakers who came away with the 75-70 win to advance to the championship game. Jaden Ivey had a huge day, scoring a game-high 22 points to propel the Boilermakers on offense.

While an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament is on the line, many teams in the league are hoping to strengthen their resume ahead of Selection Sunday. On3’s latest Bracketology had the Big Ten as a nine-bid league in the big dance.

Here’s the full bracket for the 2022 Big Ten Tournament from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Purdue advances to the Big Ten Tournament title game thanks in large part to Ivey’s big day. Eric Hunter Jr. hit some big threes down the stretch after Michigan State tightened the gap, and the Boilermakers managed to fight off the charge.

AJ Hoggard and Gabe Brown were the only Spartans in double figures, scoring 17 points and 16 points, respectively. Michigan State turned things around in the second half, going 6-for-13 from outside the arc after halftime — a stark contrast to the 1-for-12 outing in the first half.

Purdue led by as many as 13 points in the second half, but the Spartans cut it to a one-point lead with 5:45 to play. The Boilermakers now advance to the Big Ten Tournament title game to face off with red-hot Iowa.

Iowa 80, Indiana 77

No. 5 seed Iowa and No. 9 seed Indiana kicked off day four of the 2022 Big Ten Tournament, and the Hawkeyes came all the way back to win 80-77 on a near-half-court shot by Jordan Bohannon with 1.1 seconds left. Indiana led 38-32 at halftime and stayed on top for most of the second half before Iowa mounted the comeback to earn a championship game appearance.

Iowa made 14 threes in the game after Indiana took away the paint on defense. Bohannon had four of them, including three big ones and that game-winner as time expired. Keegan Murray had a monster day on offense, scoring 32 points on 11-for-17 shooting, including 8-for-10 from three-point distance.

Trayce Jackson-Davis nearly matched Murray in scoring, dropping 31 points while grabbing 10 rebounds to pace the Hoosiers. Xavier Johnson had 20 points and nine assists, as well.

The Hawkeyes now advance to the Big Ten Tournament championship, where they’ll take on No. 3 seed Purdue.
