2022 DL Malachi Madison will announce commitment Thursday
Chester (Va.) Thomas Dale defensive lineman Malachi Madison will announce his college decision on Oct. 14.
He had originally set his date for Oct. 13, but said on Twitter he pushed back the date so he could have his teammates with him during the announcement.
Prior to that, he has set to commit on Sept. 25 before pushing back a first time.
Malachi Madison, a consensus three-star recruit, will be choosing between Mississippi State, UCF and Virginia Tech.
Madison was in Blacksburg, Va., this past weekend for the Hokies game against Notre Dame.
Where would Malachi Madison fit in each recruiting class?
Malachi Madison would be a solid pickup for any of his three final teams.
He would the third defensive line commit for the Knights along with Lakeland (Fla.) Keahnist Thompson and Hollywood (Fla) Chaminade-Madonna Prep Jamaal Johnson.

Virginia Tech has the largest class of the three finalists at 22 recruits, and is also the highest-rated of the three. There are three defensive line recruits in Highland Springs (Va.) High Rashaud Pernell, Suffolk (Va.) King’s Fork Kyree Moyston and Virginia Beach (Va.) Bayside Lemar Law.
Mississippi State has only one defensive lineman commit in their class: Biloxi (Miss.) High R.J. Banks.
