2022 Forward Braeden Moore Discusses Recruitment, Visits
Braeden Moore, a 6-8 forward out of Nashville, Tennessee holds over 30 D1 scholarship offers and has visited three colleges so far: Rutgers, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.
Rutgers Official Visit
Moore’s first trip was up north to see Rutgers Univeristy.
“It went really well,” he said. “It was a lot of fun. They’re all great people. It’s a great area. New Brunswick is right near New York City. Coach Pikiell is awesome. We had a lot of one-on-one time just talking, chatting it up. It’s a program on the rise.”
The last two seasons, the Scarlet Knights have finished over .500. But prior to the 2019-20 season, Rutgers finished at the bottom of the conference nearly every year. It’s also important to note than Rutgers didn’t join the Big Ten conference until the 2014-15 season.
Wisconsin Official Visit
Next, Moore made the trip to Madison, Wisconsin to see the Badgers.
“The people are great,” he said. “It’s a great location. It’s on a lake pretty much. It was really pretty when we went. It’s a big college campus, like massive. I got to know the guys on the team pretty well.”
Traditionally, Wisconsin has always been an above-average team. Most recently, the Badgers made it to the Final Four in the 2013-2014 season and was crowned the Big 10 regular season champions in the 2019-20 season.

Nebraska Official Visit
Lastly, Moore traveled to Lincoln, Nebraska to visit the Cornhuskers.
“Nebraska was really cool,” he said. “I was with Coach Hoiberg probably the entire time. They kind’ve showed me what they’ll want me for. It was different than the other visits because they showed me what they would run for me. Their facilities are one of the best in the country.”
Nebraska has struggled the past few seasons, finishing at or near the bottom of the Big Ten for the last four years. That hasn’t hurting the Huskers on the recruiting trail though, as they landed their first ever five-star recruit in Bryce McGowens in November of 2020.
It would be silly to list the 30+ scholarship offers Braeden Moore has received, but the most notable are: Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgetown, Houston, Kansas, Memphis, Tennessee, among many others.
The 6-8 sharpshooter has also started to gain interest from Clemson, USC, Boston College, BYU, Utah, Gonzaga, and North Carolina.
