2022 LB Devon Jackson narrows list to top three, sets commitment date

Omaha (Neb.) Burke consensus four-star linebacker Devon Jackson announced his top three Tuesday on Twitter.
Jackson will attend either Arizona State, Miami and Oregon next year — and he will announce his decision Saturday.
Jackson just wrapped up an official visit to Oregon
Devon Jackson was in Eugene this past weekend to watch the Ducks take on Arizona.
The favorite for Jackson’s commitment, Oregon had a bunch of top recruits in for the game. This includes 2023 four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada and 2023 four-star cornerback Caleb Presley.
After Oregon’s victory over Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio, Jackson caught up with ScoopDuck and said the potential of being on team with a bunch of talent competitors is thrilling.
“College is gonna push, you no matter where you go. But there’s just certain schools that they can push you harder than others,” Devon Jackson said. “I feel like Oregon’s in that category with a handful of schools around the country.”
if Jackson commits, he would join the Pac-12’s best recruiting class that features eight On300 commits.

Devon Jackson would be a much-needed win for Arizona State
It has not been the best recruiting cycle for the Sun Devils so far.
Arizona State has only five commits in the 2022 class, which is the least among Power Five programs.
Their best pledge, four-star safety Larry Turner-Gooden, decommitted last week after a visit to Penn State.
But there is still plenty of time for the Sun Devils to turn their class around.
They picked up a good prospect in Greenwood (S.C.) Emerald consensus three-star defensive lineman Robby Harrison yesterday.
The decision caught the eyes of Devon Jackson, who quote-tweeted Harrison’s announcement with the eyes emojis.
Devon Jackson was scheduled to visit Arizona State on Oct. 8 and it is unknown how Friday’s announcement will change that decision.
He visited Miami over the summer.
