Four-star offensive tackle Zach Rice of Lynchburg, VA will announce his commitment on October 21st.

The 2022 prospect announced back in March that he will choose between Alabama, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Ohio State, and Virginia.

“I’m going to have my commitment announcement on Thursday so everyone can come into the auditorium,” Rice said. “Doing it on Thursday will allow me to celebrate with my family and friends on the weekend.”

Rice, one of the best tackles in the 2022 class, elaborated more on each program.

Alabama

“Alabama is just Alabama,” Rice said.

Notre Dame

“Notre Dame is Offensive Line U,” Rice said. “Me and Blake Fisher, the freshman offensive tackle, have a great relationship.”

North Carolina

“The people, opportunities, and the experience of coaching—obviously being led by a hall of fame coach in Mack Brown,” Rice said. “I feel like I could be myself there.”

Ohio State

“Great O-line coach, and they’re balling right now,” Rice said. “Seeing true freshmen TreVeyon Henderson and Tyleik Williams (who are from Virginia) playing great is cool to see.”

Virginia

“My grandfather went there and they were my first offer,” Rice said. “My family grew up there, and I feel like I can be myself at UVA.”
