El Paso (Texas) Chapin four-star guard KJ Lewis will be heading to east to visit two Lone Star State powers on unofficial visits next month.

Lewis will visit defending national champion Baylor on October 9 and then go to Texas A&M on October 11.

The 6-foot-4 guard will also visit Texas but the date has not been determined.

Lewis has a plethora of suitors

Coaches from all across the country have been traveling to the U.S.-Mexico border to get their eyes on KJ Lewis.

Coaches from Houston and Texas Tech were in El Paso to see Lewis today, with members of the staffs of Oklahoma State and TCU arriving Wednesday and UCLA on Thursday.

This comes after coaches from Arkansas, Baylor and Texas were all in the Sun City last week.

KJ Lewis currently has 15 offers, including offers from all the major programs in Texas except one — Baylor. But with his unofficial visit set for next month, that may soon change.

As one of the best prospects in Texas, it is unsurprising that Lewis is a priority for in-state schools.

During June, he made trips to hometown UTEP, SMU, TCU, Houston and Texas Tech.

Once he schedules and makes his trip to Austin, he will have visited all the major programs in his home state.

KJ Lewis turned down an offer from the Overtime League last month

Lewis turned down a $500,000 contract from the Overtime League in August and elected to remain at El Paso (Texas) Chapin for his final two high school seasons.

The contract would have lasted for two seasons with Lewis receiving $250,000 each year. However, Lewis was looking for a deal in the $2 million range.

Lewis and his family had also considered the possibility of transferring to a prep school or high school in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex earlier in the summer but elected to stay in El Paso.
