2023 4-star WR Tyler Williams picks up 3 offers Wednesday

Lakeland (Fla.) four-star wide receiver Tyler Williams picked three offers from Power Five programs Wednesday.
Penn State, South Carolina and Tennessee all extended an offer to the top recruit.
The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – rates Williams as the No. 141 overall recruit and the 20th-best wide receiver in the country.
On3 ranks him as the No. 132 prospect in the 2023 On300.
Penn State already has three commitments from four-star prospects. They are Fredericksburg (Va.) Riverbend tight end Mathias Barnwell, Ashburn (Va.) Broad Run interior offensive lineman Alex Birchmeier and Reading (Pa.) Exeter Township tight end Joey Schlaffer.
Tennessee has one pledge in their 2023 class in Dacula (Ga.) Hebron Christian Academy safety Jack Luttrell. South Carolina has no commitments.

Tyler Williams is a part of a stacked wide receiver class
The 2023 recruiting class is packed full of great pass catchers. On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said he has been very impressed by the group of wide receivers from Florida.
“I was taken aback at the number of blue-chip receivers in Florida,” Power said. “It seemed like a new one kept popping up every five minutes as we were putting the On300 together. There’s something like 15 four-star receivers from the Sunshine State. We’ve seen the state of Florida become more open to out-of-state powers in the last five to ten years. None of Florida, Florida State and Miami are at their peak right now. If any of the Big Three want to get back to winning championships, landing some of these in-state playmakers would be a start.”
Tyler Williams is the fifth-best wideout Florida in the class after Miami Gulliver Prep’s Jalen Brown, Miami Gardens (Fla.) TRU Prep Academy’s Brandon Inniss, Tallahassee (Fla.) North Florida Christian’s Traylon Ray and Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie’s Robert Stafford.
