Every baseball team in the collegiate ranks works all season long to earn a shot at making it to Omaha. Now, after eight Super Regional series, we finally know which eight programs will get their shot at a title inside Charles Schwab Field at the 2023 College World Series.

Tennessee was the final team to earn their berth with their 5-0 victory over Southern Miss. That officially set the field as we now know our eight schools and where they fall in the pair of brackets that will play out in Nebraska starting on Friday.

Stanford also punched its ticket to the CWS in wild fashion on Monday. With the game tied at 6 in the bottom of the ninth, Drew Bowser hit a high fly ball that Texas failed to spot, allowing for the winning run to score as the ball dropped. It is the third consecutive CWS appearance for the Cardinal.

Wake Forest, the tournament’s No. 1 overall seed, earned their spot in the CWS with an undefeated mark through five games. It has been all offense for the Demon Deacons as they’ve bludgeoned their opponents by winning their five contests by 59 runs combined. They lead the way as one of five national seeds that survived the Regional and Super Regional stages.

As far as special stories to watch, though, few are as good as what Oral Roberts has done in the postseason. After sweeping the Stillwater Regional, they came back from losing a heartbreaking opener to Oregon to win the last two games of the Eugene Super Regional. With that, they became just the third four-seed to make it to Omaha and will compete in the College World Series for just the second time in program history.
