2023 College World Series Odds: Opening game lines released
The 2023 College World Series field is set. The action gets underway Friday night in Omaha as teams vie for the national championship, and Las Vegas oddsmakers wasted no time getting the opening game lines together.
DraftKings unveiled the lines for the first matchups of the CWS, and most have clear favorites. The exception to that is Virginia vs. Florida, which is almost a pick ’em. The Cavaliers are the slight favorites at -120 while the Gators are at -110, meaning it could be an interesting game in the second game of the opening weekend.
Oral Roberts and TCU kick things off Friday at 2 p.m. ET, and the Horned Frogs are the favorite, according to DraftKings. The Golden Eagles are +135 underdogs against TCU after their impressive run through the Eugene Super Regional to bounce back from a tough loss to Oregon.

More on the 2023 College World Series
The College World Series features two, double-elimination brackets. Games start June 16 and the three-game championship series runs June 24-26. Once teams get out of bracket play, the final two teams standing will play a best-of-three series to bring home the trophy.
There will be a new champion this year after last year’s winner, Ole Miss, missed the NCAA Tournament field entirely. The most recent champion in the 2023 field is Florida, which won the 2017 College World Series over LSU.

Oral Roberts has been the story of the tournament amid an impressive run. The Golden Eagles dropped a heartbreaker against Oregon as they blew an 8-0 lead, but rallied back to win two straight games in the Super Regional to knock the Ducks out of the field and advance to Omaha for the first time since 1978.
Some of the top seeds are still on the board, though. No. 1 seed Wake Forest and No. 2 seed Florida are still standing, as is No. 5 seed LSU. Virginia (No. 7 seed) and Stanford (No. 8 seed) are the other two seeded teams left.
Oral Roberts and TCU will start the action in Omaha Friday afternoon, followed by the Virginia vs. Florida showdown.
