Fort Collins (Colo.) Rocky Mountain offensive lineman Ethan Thomason has committed to BYU, he announced early Wednesday morning.

The 6-foot-8, 301-pounder chose the Cougars over finalists Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Stanford and Utah. He took official visits to the Cardinal, Cougars and Utes in consecutive weeks in June.

Thomason is the No. 826 overall prospect and No. 51 offensive tackle in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in Colorado.

On3 rates Thomason higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he isn’t ranked in the 2023 On300, Thomason is the No. 49 offensive tackle and No. 4 player in Colorado.
