2023 Under Armour All-American Game check-in All-Lobby-Team
KISSIMMEE – Thursday kicked off a week of big-time competition at the Under Armour All-American Game. Players checked in ahead of practices that begin on Friday.
The game is set to be a big-time showcase. Under Armour has attracted a long list of the top 300 prospects in the On3 Consensus.
Some players immediately stood out physically among the elite talents in the room.
EDGE Samuel M’Pemba (Georgia)
M’Pemba walked in sporting a new layer of bulk on Thursday. The No. 34 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus has set out to add size as he expects to play a role for the Bulldogs in his freshman season. M’Pemba has been around 255 for most of his senior season. He looks a little more solid after the season has come to an end.
DL Sydir Mitchell (Texas)
The four-star defensive tackle towered over the people gathered in the Orlando World Center Marriott hotel on Thursday.
Mitchell was one of the impressive ‘off-the-hoof’ prospects back in the summer at Under Armour’s Future 50. He has continued to work on his body and has physically matured in the fall.
Mitchell carries his 6-foot-5, 345-pound frame like a smaller man. He’s always moved well for his size. He will be one to watch in one-on-ones this week.
ATH Nyckoles Harbor
The five-star athlete looked the part walking off the bus on Thursday. He confirmed he recently checked in at 6-foot-5, 233 pounds. Harbor’s size made him tower walking into the room.
It’s even more awe-worthy as he carries that size along with a 10.28 100-meter dash time. The ‘jumbo athlete’ will play tight end this week in Orlando.
Safety Javien Toviano (LSU)
The future Tiger carried the LSU banner with pride on Thursday. Toviano is strongly built as a safety prospect. He handles himself like a professional player.
Toviano was very businesslike throughout his media duties, answering questions with a pleasant demeanor and grin.
Looks like a future building block at LSU.
TE Duce Robinson
The five-star tight end walked in and immediately was swarmed by reporters. Robinson met them all with kindness and thoughtfulness.
Robinson looks like a dual threat physically. He’s got a tall frame that will allow him to play above the rim in the passing game. At the same time, that frame could hold more size which could make him an impact blocker on the perimeter. Robinson is the No. 21 overall prospect in the On300 rankings.
RB Cedric Baxter Jr. (Texas)
The Texas signee was a head-turner walking in on Thursday. Baxter looks like a linebacker. He possesses game-breaking ability with the football in his hands.

His size stood out the most. Baxter stands about 6-foot-1 and 215 pounds.
He is a player to watch this week as someone that could make noise running the ball but also in 7-on-7 as a pass catcher.
DL David Hicks (Texas A&M)
Hicks looks like an explosive and versatile major college defensive lineman. He’s 270 pounds. Hicks appears in good shape. He carries a lot of bulk with long powerful arms.
He looked like where he is ranked when he walked into the room on Thursday. Hicks is the No. 7 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus rankings.
CB Cormani McClain (Miami commit)
McClain’s recruitment has been in the news a lot lately. He didn’t sign with Miami in the early signing period despite being committed. He looked like someone that a lot of programs would want.
McClain’s long frame makes him an intriguing defensive back. He’s the No. 3 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus rankings for the class of 2023.
DL Peter Woods (Clemson)
Woods has added some good size. That was evident. He’s already been a strong presence at Clemson bowl practices.
Woods also has a leadership personality. He has already formed relationships with many of his fellow All-Americans.
QB JJ Kohl (Iowa State)
Walking into a room makes Kohl stand out. He towers over other quarterbacks at nearly 6-foot-7. Kohl threw the ball well over the summer.
It will be intriguing to watch how he can grasp an all-star game environment in pads.
