2024 4-star CB Omillio Agard narrows list to 10 schools
Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph’s Prep School four-star cornerback Omillio Agard is ready to begin narrowing the focus in his recruitment.
Despite being a 2024 prospect with more than 18 months until he can sign, Agard has been on numerous campuses already and is now down to 10 schools.
That list includes: Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.
“I’ve been to a lot of places this summer, been to a lot of places my freshman year, and I know haven’t seen it all. But I’ve seen most of it, I would say,” he told On3. These schools stood out to me because of the family feel — I feel like I fit in. The facilities, college towns, these places all fit me as a player and a student-athlete because I go to a very prestigious school in Pennsylvania that’s known for academics also.
… These schools fit me as a hard-working student-athlete, and I feel like I can thrive at each of them.”
Seven of his top 10 schools have already hosted him on campus
A big reason for Agard wanting to cut things down is that he has already been on campus at most of his top schools. Michigan, Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson, Penn State, Tennessee and Miami have already had him in town, and the other three programs are expected to get visits during or after his junior season.
As it stands now, only he can contact coaches — not vice versa. But beginning Sept. 1, coaches will be able to contact him directly. With over 30 schools already offering, he wanted to prevent some of the chaos that would come during the season and school year.
“In a month, things are about to get hectic. And I just wanted to cut it down to 10 schools. I know other schools are still going to contact me and fight for me, but I feel like these are the schools I want to be at. I had 30 scholarship offers, and these are the 10 that I had to bring it down to. And I want these 10 to fight for me instead of 30 and it being all hectic.

… It’s a hard process, and I know it’s going to be even harder with these schools because it’s already hard to choose who stands out right now.”
Omillio Agard has a tentative commitment timeline in place
With most of his unofficial visits down, Agard has an idea of when he wants to commit. But before then, he wants a chance to compare all the schools side-by-side and figure out what makes one — or a few — programs stand out.
“All these schools, they have good facilities, good academics, good football. So they’re all pretty much same, so I’m going to have to see what really feels different for me. Some things, they just happen and you get the feeling in your body. So I’m just going to go with my gut. I’m really going to take a look at all the little things on these visits, and make sure I feel that feeling about one place…. If I feel it about multiple places, then I’ll have to come down to what’s different with pros and cons.”
Right now, Omillio Agard plans to use his team’s three bye weeks for visits and then eyes a commitment between February and July. Between now and then, he wants to figure out which program offers the best player development and post-college network, the two things highest on his list of priorities.
“When I get there, I want to be able to put on weight, get faster, get my technique sharp,” he said. “I need a coach who is going to develop me for the next level, and if I don’t get there or if I do and it doesn’t go as planned, I have a backup plan with the network of the school. … I want a place where I feel like I can graduate in three years, regardless.”
