2024 ACC Baseball Tournament Day 3: Results, schedule, updated bracket
The top seeds in the 2024 ACC Baseball Tournament were in action on Thursday. No. 2 seed Clemson started things off against No. 11 seed Miami.
Both teams knew going into the game that the winner would advance in Pool B. Ultimately, the Hurricanes came out on top, earning an 8-7 win. It was a huge victory for a Miami squad that must win the ACC Tournament to reach the NCAA tourney. They will now play in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament on Saturday.

Miami is now done with pool play, while Clemson will play No. 6 seed Louisville on Friday at 3 p.m.
No. 1 seed North Carolina played like it on Thursday afternoon, throttling the Pittsburgh Panthers 12-2. Pittsburgh’s season is officially over. UNC didn’t waste any time, starting off the game with back-to-back-to-back home runs. They launched four home runs in their first five at bats, and didn’t look back, coasting to an easy victory. Anthony Donofrio blasted two home runs in the win for the ‘Heels.
No. 6 seed Duke handled No. 3 seed NC State in the last game on Thursday night, thanks to the Blue Devils blasting four home runs. Duke won 8-1, after they got four homers from four different players. They also got a solid performance from Andrew Healy on the mound, he struck out four batters in five innings.
Duke’s Zac Morris crushed a pivotal grand slam to break the game open. With the win, the Blue Devils advance to face the Miami Hurricanes in the 2024 ACC Baseball Tournament Semifinals. The winner will punch their ticket to the ACC Championship game on Sunday.
Pool A for the ACC Baseball Tournament features No. 1 seed North Carolina, No. 8 Wake Forest and No. 12 Pitt. Pool B has No. 2 Clemson, No. 7 Louisville and No. 11 Miami. Pool C includes No. 3 NC State, No. 6 Duke and No. 10 Virginia Tech, and Pool D is made up of No. 4 Virginia, No. 5 Florida State and No. 9 Georgia Tech.
In Pool A Wake Forest and North Carolina are 1-0 and Pitt is 0-2. In Pool B, Miami is 2-0, while Clemson and Louisville are 0-1. In Pool C, Duke is 2-0, NC State is 1-1 and Virginia Tech is 0-2. In Pool D, Virginia is 1-0, Florida State is 1-0 and Virginia Tech is 0-2.
The winner of Pool A will face the winner of Pool D in the semifinals on Saturday, while the winners of Miami and the winner of Pool C will also face off Saturday. The ACC Baseball Tournament championship game will be held Sunday at Noon on ESPN2.
